20-year-old Gretchen Espina of Biliran is the very first Pinoy Idol.
Gretchen beat 21-year-old Jayann Bautista of Pampanga in the number of votes. She won 1 million cash, recording contract from Sony BMG, GMA Management contract, a brand new Mitsubishi EX 2008, and an Avida Towers condo unit in New Manila.
