El Nido in Palawan was recently named as the one of the Philippines’ best beaches and islands by CNNGo, the travel news website of the Cable News Network.
It’s got powder-fine beaches and gin-clear waters with majestic karst limestone formations, empty lagoons, marble cliffs, prehistoric caves and waterfalls.

Airlines that fly from Manila to El Nido (Flight time: approximately 75 minutes):

There are tricycles at the El Nido airport that can take you to town. There is also a marina nearby that can take you to the islands.
Alternatively, you can fly to Puerto Princesa and from there you take a multi-cab or jeep to the San Jose Terminal (20 minutes) where you will find El Nido-bound buses. The fare is about 300 pesos and will take approximately 8 hours.
