no battery replacement nor repair at PowerMac. if it's still under warranty, they send it to their San Juan branch. Apple replaced my unit since warranty just lapsed a month. i had to call their SG branch to report the incident and it took about 2 to 3 weeks to get the new unit. anyway, it was worth waiting rather than having it fixed/repaired for 4K.

I also have the same problem with my 1st gen. Two weeks ago, the small (upper right corner) and big (center during charging) icons doesn't match. The small icon indicates that it's fully charged but the big icon is just 3/4 filled. Every time I charge there on, the bar keeps depleting ... now, the big icon is only 1/4 filled. :(

I've asked PowerMac here in the Philippines but they don't do battery replacement.

thats hot!! but coming up with an 8Gb ang 16Gb "ONLY" varieties is lame. i was expecting something more than that Steve. a DVD movie handbraked would be equal to 1Gb already. that means 25 movies only. my old ipod video has 25Gb of music in there. i know that its thinner than the iphone but why dont they make it thicker and put more memory in there. tsk tsk...im going for the ipod classic.
