The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) will reduce the fare on jeepneys from Php 7.50 to Php 7.00.
But the reduction will only be for 45 days. This is LTFRB’s so-called “christmas gift” to the riding public. Meanwhile, a private group called Tuplip Urban Homeowners Association Inc. filed a petition to permanently apply the 50 centavo reduction as the prices of fuel have gone down, and the trend is still going down.
