Jordan ends Philippines semifinals bid in FIBA-Asia Championship 2009

Jordan ended Team Pilipinas’s hopes to make it to the 25th FIBA-Asia men’s basketball championship semis (2009) after scoring an 81-70 win in their knockout quarterfinal match at the Tianjin Gym in Tianjin, China on Friday.

Gabe Norwood top scored the Powerade Team Pilipinas team with 11 points while Rasheim Wright led the Jordanians with 21 points.

This year’s finish is already an improvement on the Philippine team’s ninth place finish in the 2007 Tokushima FIBA-Asia meet.
