Kyla sings the Philippine national anthem at Pacquiao-Barrera fight (Video)
RnB princess Kyla sang Lupang Hinirang at the fight of Manny Pacquiao and Marco Antonio Barrera.
Kyla edged out other outstanding singers who had expressed interest in singing the national anthem, including sexy actress Ara Mina, who has been working with Pacquiao on a movie due to be out soon.

Great job Kyla! It’s how the anthem should be sung: no belting “diva” and “curly” notes. I’d like to mention also that I shudder at the thought that one day Regine Velasquez will screamingly destroy the hymn… yaiks. hope not!

Tama kayo. tama na ang pambababoy ng Lupang Hinirang. Hindi naman kasi dapat binibirit ang pambansang awit eh. Hindi porke magaling ka bumirit eh maganda na ang pagkanta mo!

Kudos! Fantastic and Superb! Kyla is the very first artist to deliver our National Anthem the right way…. Gives me shiver all over…. She was smiling from the very first word till the end which is the proper emotion for the song since you are making a pledge by singing it…. Rich Alvarez would be very very proud! not only him, but the whole country as well…. National Anhtem pa lng, panalo na tyo!!!!

note: Lea Salonga was the first and the only artist who had sang the National Anthem correctly.(Regine was incorrect but her rendition was the most heartfelt and applauded(given a standing ovation) and noted to be the greatest Lupang Hinirang singer.)

Although I was not able to watch and hear how Kyla sang the national anthem,,, i think she did a good job….Regine may also do better than what Kyla did…I hope She’ll be chosen again to sing for our country….

Talagang kahanga hanga ang pag awit ni Kyla ng Lupang Hinirang sa Pacquiao-Barrera Rematch. I agree with the National Historic Institute and what other critics say about Kyla’s way of singing. Tamang tama. Her confidence and smiling-factor add up to her performance. Congrats Kyla! You’re a winner too!
