La Salle and Ateneo to play benefit basketball game for Lozada
UAAP basketball rivals Ateneo de Manila University and the De La Salle University, will face off this coming Sunday to raise money for the sanctuary fund of ZTE witness Jun Lozada.
The match will be held at the Araneta Coliseum in Cubao, Quezon City at 1PM, March 2. Tickets for the game cost P120 and up. The University of Sto. Tomas cheering squad have also been invited to participate in the event.

Bakit kaya hindi gawin ng La Salle at Ateneo ang benefit para sa mga kawawang nasa Visayas na more than 300,000 families ang nawalan ng bahay. Puro pa pogi lang sila at bakit for Lozada. Corrupt din yan bakit pa bibigyan ba nila. At nakakainis din ang mga pare at madre na nanghihingi rin ng pera para kay Lozada.

The main problem is that we have a very illegitimate democratic system. Our voters elect only those people who are popular and not if they are capable. The big dilemma if GMA is ousted, the VP will take over who was elected PURELY because he’s popular with the masses, and not because he’s capable to lead the nation. Our economy has never grown this much, I don’t want to take the chance by entrusting it to someone solely popular with the masses.
To prevent this transfer, no matter how believable Lozada initially is, his credibility is now being questioned. He admitted that a certain level of corruption is acceptable to him. Questions have arisen whether he was kidnapped, because his celphone was not confiscated, he dined in Outback restaurant, and he was able to go to the place he wanted to go all along, that is, La Salle Greenhills. I even read he committed a sin of omission regarding his consultation with the wife of Sen. Joker Arroyo. He didn’t correct the impression in which it appeared the wife invited him to her house to urge him not to testify, when the fact of the matter is (based on what I read) Lozada was the one who contacted the wife around September before Joey de Venecia testified, and he was crying and that he doesn’t want to testify. So the wife invited him to her house, and told him she couldn’t lawyer for him due to conflict of interest since her husband is a Senator, while he was then president of Philforest. She advised him then, since he was so distressed, that he doesn’t have to testify if he didn’t want to. Since this was one of those ordinary free consultations, she didn’t bother to tell Joker about it. So Joker was surprised when his wife was mentioned.

Please GMA may be corrupt but she has done great to the country and we can’t change the fact that her position is pretty tempting and everyone I guess will resort to corruption if they are in her place but… that does not mean she has done nothing to improve our state heck erap is corrupt and he made our country lower and lower we need GMA she needs to stay.

I agree with your statement about GMA. But I disagree with your statement that everyone might be tempted. There’s the person’s individuality. And that’s what’s good about term limits.
Corruption can be won over if capable but unknown people are elected instead of this popularity contest we have.

Sabi ni Lozada recently binalak kidnapin ang anak nya last March, ay naku, bakit after 2 months doon pa lang nya sinasabi sa media. diba, as a father and sa isang katulad niya na mahilig sa publicity dapat kinabukasan mangyari yun, dapat sinabi na niya. bakit pinalampas pa ang 2 months? diba knowing him infront of camera, diba agad syang umiiyak, bakit hindi sya nagpapresscon at umiyak pagkatapos mangyari yung pagkidnap.

Am a devoted Catholic, am sad whenever some Catholics change their religion. But can I blame them. Kahit ako nadidismaya kasi sa mga pare at madre na nakikisawsaw sa politika. kapag simbahan ang pinakialaman ng gobyerno, di daw tama yun, pero kapag simbahan ang nakialam ok lang. akala yata ng mga madre at pareng yan, mga santo at santita sila. di kaya nila alam na nakakawalang gana ang kanilang ginagawa. what action kaya ang dapat gawin ni Archbishop Rosales sa mga ito. Bakit di nalang sila magdasal sa mga nasalanta ng lindol sa China at buhawi sa Bangladesh at bakit di sila nagrarali para kondenahin ang pagpaslang sa mga employee ng RCBC. Hey fathers and sisters , ngayon po kailangan ang inyong pagdasal. huwag na kayong makisawsaw kay Lozada. Have mercy po sa bayang Pilipinas. Sayang lang po mga donation ng taong bayan sa mga kombento at seminaryo kung lalahok lamang kayo sa politika. basahin nyo po ang constitution about the separation of the church and the state. payo lang po.

Lozada? a hero, come on, give justice to all our national heroes… he just cried… oh my God, its that their definition of a hero? They are even praying for GMA to stepdown! Nagdadasal sila ng masama para sa isang tao. Papaano sasagutin ng Diyos ang dasal nila kung negative sa ibang tao.
