La Salle beats Ateneo (UAAP Season 70)
The De La Salle Green Archers finally beat the Ateneo Blue Eagles in their third meeting this UAAP Season 70 with a score of 70-69, at the Araneta Coliseum Tuesday.
La Salle absorbed back-to-back losses from the Eagles during their first two meetings. They also got a rough 92-84 beating from the UE Warriors. ADMU on the other hand was beaten by the NU Bulldogs which gave the Archers another shot at the No. 2 slot. DLSU’s win gained them a twice-to-beat advantage under the “step-ladder format.” They will be facing the winner of the Ateneo-UST match-up to battle for the remaining finals slot and face the UE Red Warriors who already gained an automatic finals slot after making a 14-0 sweep of the eliminations.
