La Salle takes Game 1, beats UE 64-63 (UAAP 70)

The De La Salle Green Archers took Game 1 of the UAAP season 70 championship series by pulling an upset against the favorite UE Red Warriors, 64-63, Thursday at the Araneta Coliseum.
UE, which swept all 14 games in the double round eliminations, is bent on ending a 22-year long title drought.La Salle, meanwhile, is trying out to redeem itself from the one year suspension. Game 2 is on Sunday at 3 p.m., also at the Big Dome.
