Several Legacy Group Rural Banks in the Philippines declare bank holiday
The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) placed three more rural banks affiliated with the Legacy group under the receivership of the Philippine Deposit Insurance Corporation (PDIC).
So far these are the banks that were taken over:
Bank of East Asia (Cebu City)
First Interstate Bank (Tacloban City)
Philippine Countryside Rural Bank (Cebu City)
Rural Bank of Paranaque (Parañaque City)
Rural Bank of Bais (Negros Oriental)
Pilipino Rural Bank (Cebu)
Rural Bank of San Jose (Batangas)
Rural Bank of Nueva Caceres (Naga City)
The BSP said in a statement that it had been monitoring these banks well before the global financial crisis began, because of potentially unsafe and unsound banking practices.

sandamukal kasi ang mga banko. sana yung mga major at tested bank na lang ang payagang mag-operate.

Paano po ang plan holders ng Scholarship Plans Phils. Inc. (SPPI) na pag-aari din po ng Legacy Group. Saan po kami lalapit upang yung mga claims namin ay makuha namin. Due na po kasi yung high school plan ng mga anak ko last year pa po (2007) at may college plan din po sila na due sa 2010 at 2012. Paano po ba gagawin namin. Pinaghirapan namin yun na mapupunta na lang po ba sa wala!

Planholder din ako (leagacy-danvil-family first) at ang maturity ay sa 2010 na dapat!!!
Gawa tayo ng group at habulin natin ang pera natin sa mga hinayupak na ito!!
Pinghirapan natin itong pera dapat lang aibalik sa atin!!!
May alam ka ba na forum site a pwede pa natin contakin ???

inis na inis ako sa legacy. hindi natin pinulot ang pera na ininvest sa kanila for our children’s future. napraning ako ng malaman ko ang pangyayari.ano ang gagawin natin ngayon?

for clarification…… as far as i know rural bank of nueva caceeres in naga city is not a member of any legacy group,it is a family owned bank…
