Chinese automaker, Lifan Cars enters the Philippine market with the introduction of their first car, the LF520.

The LF520 will just be the first among three cars it plans to sell here in the Philippines this year. It is a subcompact sedan and is complemented by a Single Overhead Cam (SOHC) 16-valve head engine with electronic throttle control, a 5-speed manual transmission, steered by a rack-and-pinion, hydraulic assisted steering system, suspension comes by the way of a McPherson strut with stabilizers in front and a torsion beam in the rear, safety features include ABS, driver and passenger airbags and side-beam crash protectors.

Lifan Cars is a unit of China-based conglomerate Lifan Group with operations in the financial/banking sector, real estate, football industry and research and development.

They plan to introduce more cars after the LF520, including an MPV, electric car and mini-car in the future.
