Madonna Decena gets standing ovation on Britains Got Talent 2008

32-year-old Filipina Madonna Decena is one of the favorites in the 2nd season of “Britain’s Got Talent,” a talent search for Britain’s next best amateur act.

Decena who is a single mom to two girls left the Philippines 18 months ago to find work in the UK. She left her kids in the care of their grandparents. She became a crowd favorite in the search after the show’s judges Simon Cowell, Amanda Holdren and Piers Morgan voted her through to the semi-finals during the live audition at Manchester Theatre. Her rendition of I Will Always Love You made sure there was not a dry eye in the house.
