Madonna Decena gets standing ovation on Britains Got Talent 2008

32-year-old Filipina Madonna Decena is one of the favorites in the 2nd season of “Britain’s Got Talent,” a talent search for Britain’s next best amateur act.

Decena who is a single mom to two girls left the Philippines 18 months ago to find work in the UK. She left her kids in the care of their grandparents. She became a crowd favorite in the search after the show’s judges Simon Cowell, Amanda Holdren and Piers Morgan voted her through to the semi-finals during the live audition at Manchester Theatre. Her rendition of I Will Always Love You made sure there was not a dry eye in the house.

honestly speaking, she doesn’t have that vocal prowess.
The thing that good about her is that she sings from the heart which “wow” the judges as well as the audience and giving her a standing ovation.

She’s good and may talent talaga sa singing, pero haharapin niya problema sa reality show sa UK ang support ng tao, mahihirapan siyang maging top 3 kasi, asian siya. eq. AI, later I am sure tsugi din siya.

At least may exposure na siya at doon mag start ang kanyang career. Let pray for him and be proud.

There is another Filipino in BGT. He is a half-pinoy/half-british 10 year old boy (mom is full Filipina)named CHARLIE GREEN who IMHO is more impressive than Madonna. He not only sings well but can also dance, play the keyboards, guitar and flute. Search for his video in youtube or click this link:

Bakit pa isiningit ito? Go Madonna. I’ve watched the video in YouTube. I was really moved. Amanda cried at nakatunganga lang si Simon. Na shock pa ito at first. I didn’t see any hint of discremination for asians in that video, hopefully wala talaga…Good luck Madonna…

Dun sa mga nagsasabing hindi ganun kataas ang vocal range ni Madonna tulad ni Whitney eh dapat naman talaga may sariling style ang isang magaling na singer at hindi kaboses ng iba. Kahit hindi birit queen si Mado, kung maganda at nararamdaman mong madamdamin or “soulful” ika nga ang boses nya, yun ang mas importante. Sana nga wala nang mang-didiscriminate sa mga Asyano, lalo na sa mga Pinoy, sa ibang bansa at idaan na lang sa galing o abilidad at hindi sa kulay ng balat.

Wow Great Voice and heart. Yet, needs to get a touch of class. She dresses like a …. It makes her look “cheap” which is not befitting her personality and voice.
