Malu Fernandez on TV Patrol World
Complaints sent via the Internet and through other types of media led Malu Fernandez to resign from her job following her negative comments about overseas Filipino workers in the Middle East.
Information from the Web site of the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration said a total of 462,545 OFWs or 58 percent of the total number of Filipinos employed abroad were in the Middle East as of last year.

malou whoever was talking about hard-working filipinos. what she wrote was unnecassary information. who cares what’s on the outside? these are people who sacrifice their lives for their families, who work hard to get out of poverty. jesus christ was born and lived poor. do you think he wore perfume? for crying out loud, she could’ve written something in their behalf. i stopped by hongkong one weekend, and one sunday i saw one sidewalk full of filipino female workers sitting. they prefer to eat and sleep there than rent a place just for the weekend when they have to leave their master’s house. i admire them for what they go through.
