Man falls to this death from Star Flyer ride in Star City
A 39-year-old man died on Saturday afternoon after falling from a roller coaster ride called the “Star Flyer” at Star City in Pasay City.
Lito Pena was declared dead on arrival at the San Juan de Dios Hospital due to his fall from the inverted roller coaster ride. Investigators are still trying to determine the real cause of the accident.
Meanwhile, Star City spokesman Ed de Leon stressed that it would be impossible for Peña to fall because the harnesses of the ride’s seats were locked by computerized control. They even found the victim’s seat harness still locked even after the accident.

oh emm geee!! that ride was very safe! as in naka limang sakay pa ako jan bec i just loved it so much! for me, it was definitely a smooth ride unlike most roller coasters na medyo shaky! but i couldn’t believe this!!! may he rest in peace!

sinabi lang nang STAR CITY suicide naniwala na kayo agad? siyempre maghahanap yan ng alibi, tignan muna natin kung me kapabayaan talaga yung establishment. THE LADY WAS SURPRISED BECAUSE THAT MAN WAS THE ONLY PERSON WHO ASKED THAT QUESTION.

HENYO is right! how if your the one na nahulog sa star flyer o sa kahit na saan pa sa mga rides na yan tapos cnabi na nagsuicide ka kahit hindi naman. Di ba napakaimature naman ng magiisip o maghuhusga kaagad agad. Review the whole scenario that’s the best thing to do para hindi na sya maulit sa kahit kanino. you don’t know how the family of Lito Pena feels for this incident.sympathy from me…..sa mga nawalan….u

I enjoyed that ride. I rode on it twice. I can say, its very safe. And the attendants make sure that you are locked in your seat. I remember, coz the lady attendant pushed on it when i rode on it twice. I even hear it “click”. Very sorry for the family of the deceased.

how can you fault the ride if only one man died? if the ride was unmaintained or faulty, there would be a large tragic accident.
now.. was the seatbelt faulty? if that’s the case, star city should be held liable.
