Manila Ocean Park

The Manila Ocean Park is the Philippines’ first state-of-the-art Oceanarium, open water marine habitat, boutique mall, restaurant row and function facilities all located in one complex at the back of the Quirino Grandstand.

It’s a P1-billion project of Singaporean and Malaysian investors. Both the oceanarium and the open marine habitats would contain 12,000 cubic meters of seawater featuring 300 marine species indigenous to the Philippines and Southeast Asia. Entrance fees to the Manila Ocean Park would be affordable to all — P250 for students, and P350 to P400 for regular patrons which is expected to be completed in December 2007.

  • LORNA

  • monet

how much is the entrance fee? for kids & adults?

    thanks.

  • Ronald

Entrance fee for adult is P400, P350 for children. As of now they don’t accept credit card. No food or drink allowed inside the oceanarium. Photography is allowed but no flash as it will disturb the marine animals. No discount for group. Strictly P400 & P350. The Manila Ocean Park is not as fabulous as the one in the Japan but your P400/P350 is worth of seing it. Better to go there during weekdays if you don’t like too many people in weekends. No re-entry. There’s no turning back once you go outside the exit door but you can stay as long as you want inside.

  • Ronald

It was my first time to see a very big crab inside a cold water aquarium.

  • Arnold

  • ronald

Bawal po mag away dito. hehehe. Sulit naman anf P400 a.

  • rdlf

pumunta ng Singapore or any other country na meron din ganito..di ba?

I think mas magandang pumunta sa Ocean Park during weekdays, to avoid long lines..sa ticket at entrance.

  • rdlf

Yeah right. Before, going to Ocean Park is a just a dream for ordinary people. Truly one of its kind here in the Philippines.

  • xsyxangel

ammm… maganda ba talaga sa ocean park? kasi balak ko sanang bilhan yung kapatid ko ng psp pero sabi ko next time nalang psp nya mag ocean park nalang kami kaya lang baka ma disapoint lang sya eh tapos baka magsisi pa yun eh. heheh lam nyo naman mga bata…. well dis next sunday punta kami sa ocean park.. i hope di sya magreklamo heheh…

  • cheng

done naba un mall and the open marine habitat..?..im planning to go there w my kids kzu kung di pa cya totally done bk mas maganda will go there later nlng…balak kze namin before class starts..peru kung marami pang di tapus probably wil go there in the future..

  • Shane & Jane

accepted na credit card payments? and infant below 1 yr old ba may bayad na?

  • rdlf

the mall and the open marine habitat are still under construction, their target date of completion is by the end of this year. For kids, 4.5 feet below, entrance fee is 350.00 while those 2 feet below are free of charge.

  • concern citizen

Sorry ha but as for my personal comment, napaka poor ng facilities ng manila ocean park, I feel na yung entrance fee nila na P400 for adult and 350 for kids are not worth for the facilities ng kanilang soft opening and they even charged my 1 year old kid, yung below 2 feet lang daw ang free, of course kahit saan naman ang sangol considered free na, di ba???

They even said we can bring the stroller along pero wala naman pala escalator, what we do is binuhat yung stroller that causes distractions to other guests tuloy, napaka inconvenient talaga!

Of course enjoy din ang mga anak ko na makita ang malaking aquarium na yun but they are not satisfied as well. My 8 year old son even asked me “is that all Mama? can I go back i want to see them again” but we’re not allowed to go back. It’s not that we wanted to be treated as VIPs or something, of course sa crisis na meron tayong lahat ngayon, we truly value the worthy of what we spent

It only took us less an hour to go around tapos 30 minutes na pila sa labas, a total of 1.5 hours din. We proceed to Aristocrat na lang for our lunch kasi baka ma-disappoint din kami sa pagkain nila dun sa offer nilang buffet.

Sana before they make that so called soft opening, they should have attended to the important facilities that the people will need to use during the tour like yung A/C, escalator, elevator, etc.

Iba yung nasa Hongkong, sa Hongkong are hectares ang sakop na location with matching cable car to bring you to another mountain, ours is, ewan…

I don’t mean na manira but this is what truly happens to us, we paid nga pala P3,050 for my whole family.

Also nga pala may remembrance pa kami from ocean park, our car was being molested, we paid P45 parking fees na di naman naprotektahan ng mga walang silbing guards and when we made complaint to the Head Security wala ring nagawa kungdi himingi ng dispensa which we accepted na rin kasi di naman na maibabalik yung nangyari.

I think for now the Manila Ocean Park is far more concern on how to make money to proceed with their 1 billion project…

For those who are planning to visit the ocean park, please stop expecting too much para di kayo ma-disappoint.

Of course I am happy to find out that we have the ocean park here in manila pero sige we will try to visit them again kapag full operations na sila baka sakaling magbago ang pananaw ko and i will definitely post them here again.

    Thanks for reading my part…

  • ika

i was planning p nmn n i celebrate yung 7 birthday ng anak ko sa ocean park pero na ko confused ako ang daming negative reaction 20 fox kame on saturday di ko alam kung i cancel ko p b .. sayang nmn yung ibabayad ko 4 lng yung kids tapos lahat puro adults na kung di nmn ganun ka sulit .. were not ecpecting much pero sana babaan n lng yung rate lalo n pag by groups yung pupunta ..b

  • iam

hi ika! my daughter is turning 7 on saturday din, and we are planning to go to MOP also. Were you given discount for your reservation?

  • mary

Napakasaya kaya sa Oceanarium! Na- appreciate me ang Karagatan even if it is only a replica – truly How Great the Lord our God is , how much more the real world of the ocean.

  • evesolitaire

  • evesolitaire

by the way bakit ko nasabing mahal…kung di po tayo magco convert sa peso, sa Hongkong203 dollars at 100 plus sa kids. Ung value ng pasyal ay 5x worth ng naspend mo. di un mahal wag ka lang magconvert sa peso. kc when we buy bargain t-shirt sa mongkok at 20HK dollars parang eto ung mga binebenta sa baclaran na bargain na 100 isa. so ung 203 HK$ dollars na entrance ay hindi mabigat sa mga papasyal duon, well of course….ang mabigat kabayan e ung airfare, hehehe. ANYWAYS, I WILL SURELY GO BACK TO MANILA OCEAN PARK, last month lang ung huli ko, ngayon babalik kami kc birthday ng nanay ko d pa sya nakapunta dun.

  • rdlf

Hong Kong Ocean park is a “Theme Park”… Manila Ocean Park is an “Oceanarium”… aside from the spelling e talaga naman po n mag kaiba sila… Don’t worry, this is not a government owned project kaya ika nga, wala ditong “under the table”… Our country should still be thankful dahil kahit gaano ka corrupt ang government dito e may mga foreign investor pa rin na sumusugal itayo ang negosyo nila dito sa dahan dahang lumulubog na bansa… filipino should learn to love their own, although this not fully owned by Filipinos, still, andito to sa Pinas…

Guys, we just aired our comments and personal opinions – if you did’nt like it so be it. We do not have the same taste and point of views.

I think this site is like sharing your experience so that others can get ideas and be aware with. And we definitely do not mean to create “kaaway” here…

I have not taken my kids again there yet cuz im waiting for the full operations where I could experience the 1B project of our investors, till then saka na ulit ako mag air ng aking personal opinion which i think is ‘ok’ lang on this site.

With the above new comments, it looks like no new experience to look forward with.

    Happy weekend to everyone!

  • Mika Brea

Hi, everyone! Question lang po, Do they accept credit cards for the entrance fees? Thanx sa magrereply…

  • concern citizen mom

    Hi Guys,

My son who go to chinese school just had their field trip last Jan 22/09 and that includes the crocodile park, manila science, ocean park, & Armed Forces of the Philippines.

Well guys, the ocean park is a bit improved now, lifts and escalators are now working (very important thing in a amusement park for childrens and adults alike). AC’s – ganun pa rin, may malaking fan lang that helps the AC to cool the place. Wala naman nadagdag it’s the same views you can see when we went there 2008.

One thing I want to call the attention of the management, yung kanilang sharks aquarium dun sa 2nd floor is open, though one can see that the aquarium is made of stable glass but what i have seen that day was so nerve shaking, 1 boy wanted to view fully the sharks and he’s not maybe satisfied of just viewing it on the side of the aquarium so he tries to jump and make his arm rest on the top of the aquarium that makes him almost fell sa loob ng aquarium and i shouted loud but guess everyone is busy doing their thing and the music was so loud that even I shouted it’s like nothing, yet only me, my son and their classmates witness this thing as no one is around from the management to guard those kind of kids na masyadong curious. After that sight, the kids from my son’s school never went near to that aquarium and tried to tell to their parents and to their shi what had happen, but that boy i was telling here is like parang walang nangyari, he proceed to his next site kung saan dun naman sya naglikot, i was waiting for someone to come near to that boy but i guess his companion were also busy.

Sana the management of the ocean park would assign 2 or at least 1 life guard who can act fast if someone would fall down dun sa sharks aquarium nila, you can never tell when accident occurs. Oo nga pala on that group tour, my child’s fee is P322 while us, parents fee is P380. Pero before sabi nila kapag school tour – student is only P250.00 Oh well so much for that, sana Ocean Park will use the money to improve more on their amusement park.

Thanks for reading my piece, til next updates. Bye guys!

  • Tina

I have not been to the MOP but reading from the thread of comments, I like the positive views more than the negative ones. Pwede naman constructive criticism hindi yung puro complaints and destructive comments… walang mapapala dyan.

  • jenny

  • good citizen

well jenny, I’m sorry if that’s what you think of Manila Ocean Park. You know what, your one of the Filipinos with rotten attitude. Citizen like you are the root cause why this country is left stuck when it comes to economic progress. You don’t patronize what were naturally from your fellow Filipino. Shame on you.

  • (joey)(bohol)

Thanks Manila Ocean Park. I am appreciated your acomplishment. Thanks for the owner! hi guys.. I went here yesterday. It exceeded my expectations. It was far beautiful than some negative comments I’v seen here.. I learned a lot and I realized how beautiful the sea creatures are esp. those that came from the Philippines. It’s a lot better and larger than Underwater world in Sentosa: Singapore. I am sooooooooo proud that we have it here in the Philippines. Please try it on weekends..the crowd is less & you guys will surely appreciate it. The Fish spa is ♥. I also tried the Jellies: Dancing Sea Fairies separate exhibit and guess what, it’s awesome! *education gained + fun + filipino pride = worth it!
