Marc Nelson and Rovilson Fernandez finish 3rd in Amazing Race Asia 2
Marc Nelson and Rovilson Fernandez (Best Friends), representing the Philippines finished third overall in the Amazing Race Asia 2.
They came behind winners Adrian Yap and Collin Low (Gym Buddies) of Singapore and the team of Pamela and Vanessa Chong (sisters) of Malaysia. Adrian and Collin won $100,000 after winning the race around the world (12 legs in 24 days). The race started in Singapore and the teams went to the Philippines, China, New Zealand, Japan, South Korea, Germany, Czech Republic, Hungary, South Africa, then back to Singapore which served as the last pit stop.

Disappointed ako sa naging outcome. Pero you got to hand it to the two of them. Consistent sila sa top at marami na rin silang prizes na napanalunan. Congratulations for making it to the top three! That’s more than anyone else can do.

The race was rigged from the start and it was clear the producers wanted Singaporeans to win. But they also wanted Marc and Rovilson to stay until the last leg of the race because they wanted the revenues from the SMS promo of the show.
First of all, there was clear bias in deciding to have the last leg of the race in Singapore. Since one of the 3 remaining teams comes from Singapore, wasn’t it very obvious that finishing the race in Singapore gave the Singaporean team an unfair advantage over the other teams?
Secondly, it was clear that the producers and organizers of the race knew about the backgrounds of the contestants, right? They knew that Collin was very good with flags, so the final task, the most critical task of all, being just before the final pitstop, had to be something about flags. A coincidence? I don’t think so. The organizers knew about this fact and used this to give unfair due advantage to the Singaporean team, again.
Thirdly, in one of the tasks in the final leg of the race where the teams had to kick a soccer ball inside the goal, it was very evident that the goalie just intentionally let the balls go inside the goal even if Adrian and Collin did not kick the balls good enough. Again, this task was full of bias because it was very dependent on how intense the goalie would attempt to prevent the ball from getting inside the goal. Of course, since Adrian and Collin were not as good as Marc and Rovilson in this task, they had to let the goalie let some of Adrian and Collin’s kicks get inside the goal.
As long as this race is being produced by people from Singapore, I don’t think a Philippine team will ever win this race.

we filipinos should be proud of them..
in almost all leg of the race number 1 cla!! they did their best and as a matter of fact
other races love them!! sila lagi ang team to beat kaya ung ibang teams naiinis sa kanila. pero hndi naman cla ung team na gustong ma-out ng ibang racers. ok lang daw sila ang manalo wag lang ung dancing moms na masasama ang ugali.. punta kau sa forum ng TARA2, ung ibang malaysians and indonesians cla ang top favorite.
anyway. ok lang 3rd cla gusto ko rin naman manalo sila adrian and collin, magaling din cla at mautak. actually, team singapore and team philippines ang spice ng show na to.
masaya pa rin ang result, at least wala sa top 3 ang dancing moms!! i hate them

know what guys let’s just be PROUD & HAPPY for both of them.it’s so bad to say something nasty about their loss.we all are living witness to their hardships,effort & determination.honestly,i enjoyed watching it because they made the show hilarious n trully enjoyable!!!So those pips who give bad comment “just shut up”!!!!!

AGPISCES is right.
They (Marc and Rovilson) were always on track to winning the race but because of the last road block just before the pit stop they were kicked from being on the number one spot.
And about that soccer game, I also saw it (the gollie being considerate to Collin and Adrian).
But overall I’m still proud that they did all their best.
Even if they were placed on the 3rd spot they still won being a good and fair competitors.
Team Philippines were proud of you.

it was too bad that marc & rovilson fumbled on the road block. they would have been first had marc opted to do the task. i can’t understand why rovilson volunteered himself when marc is the adventurer as he covers sports unlimited with dian castillejo. but i’m really proud of them inspite of their last place finish during the last leg. they are the reason why is watch amazing race asia 2 and i must say they must have also been the reason why many other nationalities watched this too. and it was not a bad performance for the philippine team considering that during the first amazing race asia, the two philippine teams were immediately eliminated. marc & rovilson won most of the legs and for that, they took home a lot of prizes like to sony handycam, spending credits via standard chartered credit card, trip to south africa with a lot of perks included.
so to marc & rovilson, congratulations! i’m proud of you too!

It’s a touching ending carrying the Phil flag while running towards the last pit stop. They are the only one who thought about it.

Marc and Rovilson brought the HUNK factor to the race. Kung wala sila, walang kwenta manood ng amazing race! Hindi naman sila natalo! Sa lahat ng nanood alam nila na panalong panalo si Mark at Rovilson! Bias lang ang mga tao na gusto manalo mga Singaporean Mongoloids na yun, sino ba ang may gusto na manalo mga mongoloids, aber?! Pero nangyari na eh, natalo sila sa lupa ng mga mongoloids, hayaan na natin at may sariling mundo mga mongoloids! Ang importante eh sikat uli mga Pilipino kase gwapo angkan natin at hindi angkan ng mga Mongoloid!

pasensha na ha, galit ako sa mongoloid lalao na pag mukhang.. mongoloid! kung napansin nyo mahilig sila mag sign language dahil hindi nila ma express pagka mongoloid nila. Sensha na naiinis lang talaga ako bakit sinali pa mga yan sa race na yan. Sabagay may $100,000 na sila, meron na sila panggamot sa mga sakit nila, magpa genetic counselling na dapat sila.
