MRT Stations in the Philippines start 24-hour operations on June 1

MRT-3 general manager Reynaldo Berroya announced that starting June 1, the Metro Rail Transit or MRT-3 on EDSA is going on 24-hour operations.

Just a couple of days ago, President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo promised to look into BPO employees’ request for the extending the operation hours of MRT system as most of them leave their offices at around midnight and at 4AM.

Security guards will be posted in stations and in trains to ensure the security of the riding public during the late-night operation.

Finally, MRT has realized that there are a number of passengers that needs their service during the wee hours.

kung normal operations (as in same number, and arrival and departure times; of trains just like in the day) pa rin ang MRT during those hours, imo, malulugi sila sa operations cost dahil hindi naman ganun karami ang mga passenger e. oh well, at least MT is safer than those EDSA buses…yun nga lang sana may police visibility within 100 meter radius sa ibaba ng MRT stations dahil for sure tatambayan ng mga snatcher at holdaper ang mga passengers.

  6. Pinoy Expressions Says:
