NCAA player Keith Agovida scores 82 points

18-year-old Keith Agovida of Jose Rizal University’s (JRU) high school basketball team (Jose Rizal Light Bombers) scored a record-setting 82 points in a 127-49 rout of Mapua Friday.

The 6’1″ Agovida is now NCAA’s highest scorer in over 80 years. He surpassed the previous record of 71 points by Letran’s Erwin Bolabola established in the late 70s, according to league officials. He also grabbed 15 rebounds and blocked five shots with 36 of 49 shooting and 10 of 16 free throws.
