Seven of the casualties, who were found inside the bank, were identified as employees while another was a client. The ninth victim, a security guard on duty, was found outside. The fatalities were identified as Roberto Castro, bank manager; Ma. Theresa Umayam, teller; Olga Gonzales, new accounts teller; Benjamin Lidao, junior teller; Bernardo Lapaan, customer’s cashier; Noel Miranda, operational assistant; Juan Layva, janitor; Ferdinand Antonio, a client; and Aguilando Baltazar, security guard. i really felt deeply sad when i saw this in the news last friday… those robbers don’t fight fair in life. they just live their life from other people’s money, and after they have taken what they wanted… they just shoot and kill their victims. i just hope and pray that these people should be caught right away and be brought to justice.
May 19th, 2008 at 8:19 am

To Fiona:
Who the hell are you? Why do you have to drag people like Charo Santos and who si Dewdew? And how totally rude can you be by saying behlat to the victims? Are you a human being? Nag aral ka ba? To say behlat to innocent people who merely came for work that day at the RCBC branch, how could you say something like this? You must be out of your mind or you must not be human at all? You must be something of a lower life form.
May 19th, 2008 at 2:11 pm
To Fiona,
How could you say something like that.
Hindi ka ba naawa sa mga biktima? Eh kng sa kaanak mo kaya mangyari yun and someone say “behlat” to them. Matutuwa ka ba? I guess, wala kang pakialam….
May 19th, 2008 at 2:20 pm

May 19th, 2008 at 3:51 pm
To Fiona… you are not human, you are totally insane… You r really insensitive. Kawawa ka naman. Magsama na kayo ng killers. Duh!
May 19th, 2008 at 3:53 pm
No way!
May 19th, 2008 at 10:25 pm
Dignity?

Fiona — KAMPON KA NI SATANAS! LUMAYAS KA!
May 20th, 2008 at 4:38 pm
Please don’t be cruel to persons like “Fiona” and “1st of all”… can’t you see? They obviously badly need attention!!! They’re sick already, let’s not make them sicker than they are now… Maybe we can give them a gift of understanding… Just let them say what they want, they don’t know what they’re talking about anyway… again, let’s understand them.
May 20th, 2008 at 4:41 pm
Fiona and 1st of all, I wish you all the best in life… don’t lose hope, it’s not too late… I suggest you listen to the song “Don’t Worry, Be Happy” ;-P
May 20th, 2008 at 4:59 pm
May 20th, 2008 at 6:59 pm
or baka naman si Fiona and !st of all ang one of the robbers? Especially to Fiona… parang galit na galit sa mga victims eh.. but anyway, guys, tama si observer, huwag na nating pansinin at baka sumikat lang siya.
To the family of RCBC Victims, condolences. We will always pray for them. Let’s pary that God will help us to solve this bloody crime. Let’s hope for the best. Again, this is too painful for the family and relatives of the victim. Imagine nyo na lang, nag report lang sila to work without knowing na last day na pala nila yun.

Don’t find the issue funny! This is something to do with the lives of innocent people who work for their family but then ended up that way. Just want to give you (Fiona & 1st of all) an advise, always pray! God never pulls you down. If ever you 2 guys have problems, just ask Him on what you want in your life and He will surely give it to you. Don’t make your lives miserable!

I’m devastated to learn about this news…I was really shocked…
I hope and pray that this event would cause us to pray and ask the Lord for mercy and to heal our really dying land…
let’s pray, it’s all in God’s mighty hands now…
Godbless you guys…
and also, the issue is not just about “Fiona’ or “1st of all’, or about the victims or the killers but it’s actually about our poor and beloved country…instead of focusing our attention to them, “Fiona’ or “1st of all’ let’s just pray…
again Godbless…

These kinds of people are the people I fear for my unborn child. When me and my husband are trying to conceive, we always ask ourselves.. “Will we raise a child in this kind of world?” I guess we can never be out of these kind of people, we can only be the best parents and pray that our children don’t come across Satan’s people.
I dearly pray for the souls of the victims, their families and for those who find this incident a joke. This may not be new to us, it happens everywhere, everytime…but for those among us left with sympathy and hope, lets pray for God’s guidance and keep hoping that there is still chance even at least for our country.

ay nako korek tlag si Observer for saying na don’t give too much attention kay Fiona at 1st of all.. Anyway I really felt bad when I heard the news, in fact I watched last nyt documentary in SOCO. I believe very professional tlga ang mga gunmen na yan or they must be ex militar who were so brutal to shut those innocent people. They’r not in the state of any drug but I believe they were under the force of Satan,, sobra tlaga.. how could these unmerciful robbers took away such lives easily.. Im sure at the end of the nyt di sila maka2tulog ng mahimbing unless nag tatake sila ng sleeping pills to get proper sleep. Lets believe that vegeance is not ours.. its God.. God is in control .. to those robbers, i know you too have families, unless sobra na manhid ng pagkatao nyo to did that horrible crime.. To the family of victims,, condolence.. may God pour His comfort and may somehow ease ur pain..

First my deepest condolonces to the families of RCBC employees who died there at the robbery, especially the three who were close to my heart..namely Mr. Isagani Pastor, Mr. Roberto Castro and Teresita. Three main characters there actually, I said they were close to me as I have worked with them for years..from another bank previously they worked for..YEARS, colorful..YES I was a banker too. Roberto..(betong) as we used to call him was my college friend and used to court me, Gani used to be the branch head in one bank in Calamba I used to worked for, he was my boss, I learned a lot from him too, we were like family inside the branch..So you see these three I mentioned here played a part in my life. As I am now working overseas, it’s not really that clear to me when I learned about what happened there, but as a banker too I know the risks they took just to have a decent living, to earn, to feed their families and to support the studies of their children, and help them realise their dreams..To those insensitive two here..1st of all and what’s the other’s name? i couldn’t remember..SHAME ON YOU!!!!!!!!, Imagine if those were your parents who were killed there? and nobody will love you and support you..To be an ORPHAN is not a joke..Any child doesn’t deserve to lose their parents and their dreams in that way!!!Siguro you two are very lonely creatures (NOT HUMANS) existing (NOT LIVING), ..A BACTERIA of the lowest form.. I will not wish na mag sorry kayo..hindi na nyan mababago ang klase ng pagkatao (?) nyo..SHAME ON YOUR PARENTS too, or there’s really a blood of criminals na dumadaloy sa mga ugat nyo…PATAWARIN sana NILA kayo at wag nyong maranasan ang dinaranas ng pamilya nila..
