The three women had to deal with altitude sickness that could progress to pulmonary edema but it seems that it’s all worth it after they’ve achieved this historic feat. Last May of 2006, Leo Oracion, Pastor Emata, and Romi Garduce also reached the Everest summit and became the first Filipino to reached the summit of the highest mountain on earth.
