VP Noli de Castro tops survey on presidentiables, Erap places 2nd

Vice President Noli de Castro is the top choice of Filipinos for president followed by former president Erap Estrada.

This is according to the survey conducted by Pulse Asia from July 1 to 14. De Castro garnered 22% followed by Erap Estrada with 16%. It was the first time that Pulse Asia had again included Erap’s name in the list of presidentiables after his conviction for plunder in 2007. The rest of the list included Senator Chiz Escudero with 14%, Senator Legarda with 14%, Senator Villar with 12%, Senator Mar Roxas with 8%, and Senator Ping Lacson with 5%.

Meanwhile, for the Vice-Presidential choice, Senator Escudero topped the list with 25%, followed by Senator Legarda, 23%; Senator Pangilinan, 11%; Senator Jinggoy, 9%; Senator Bong Revilla, Mayor Binay (Makati) and Gov. Vilma Santos-Recto (Batangas) were tied in fifth place.
