Nonito Donaire beats Rafael Concepcion, bags super flyweight crown

Nonito “The Filipino Flash” Donaire Jr. won against Rafael “El Torito” Concepcion of Panama via unanimous decision in the main event of “Pinoy Power 2″ at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada.

He is now the World Boxing Association (WBA) interim super flyweight champion, his third world title in his second weight division. He previously held the International Boxing Federation (IBF) and International Boxing Organization (IBO) flyweight belts. The judges scored the fight 117-111, 115-113, and 116-112 all in favor of Donaire.
