Panasonic has just announced the release of the sequel to the popular LX3, the Panasonic Lumix DMC-LX5.
Some of the differences include increased optical zoom to 3.8X (from 2.5x in the LX3), Power Optical Image Stabilization (Mega OIS in the LX3), captures video in 720p high definition (in the AVCHD Lite format) and lets you use manual controls and zoom while shooting video. It will be reportedly be available in August and expect the price here in the Philippines to be between 20,000 to 30,000 pesos. The LX3 is currently available in Anson’s Makati (beside Landmark) for 29k+ (installment price).
