Partial Percentage of votes of the Top 6 PDA 2 Scholars
In last night’s Pinoy Dream Academy season 2 Dream Bigayan Concert for a Cause, Toni Gonzaga revealed the percentage of the total text votes as of 9:27pm, September 6.
Scholar A got 20.27%, Scholar B got 38.98%, while Scholar C got 11.28%. Scholar D received 20.18%, and Scholar E and F got 3.15% and 6.15%, respectively. You can still vote for your favorite scholar by texting in PDA (name of scholar) to 2331 for Globe, Touch Mobile, and Sun Cellular subscribers and 231 for Smart, Talk ‘N Text, and Addict Mobile subscribers. The Grand Performance Night will be on September 13 and the Final Results Night on September 14.

I totaly 100%, I agree, with you akodin, that Laarni should prevail in this singing competation.
You know why I do believe on her capacity of singing.
Because not only she has the-”World class” talent , she has a very gifted angelical voice (should all filipinos be proud of that) and to add more, she is a real person inside and out. Therefore, she got my vote.
Kayo rin, so ano pang hini-hintay ninyo vote na. I beg you all, to vote for Laarni.
Let her be the 2nd Grand Star Dreamer on Sept 14.
Without a doubt, She deserves to win not only for her as well as her family.

hayyyyy….ung kyabangan daw ni liezel ang npapancn, eh mas lalong myabang nman c laarni..rmember nyo ung mga cnabi nya nung ngshowdown cla ni liezel eh knain nya rin ung mga cnabi nya..c liezel ang nanalo.. lhat nman tau nati-threaten especially kng ikaw ang nsa taas kya natural lng ung na-feel at mga cnabi ni lezel, its not kyabangan. we are not in the position to judge our worth or other else’s. maybe we should try to see their talents. they are all unique in their own ways and they will shine in their own means.

I am lobbying for Laarni to win because I believe she has what it takes.
PDA is all about searching for the right talent (s),” also most marketable talents that is. I believe Laarni has it -consider this total package. For example, strong voice, tall, good teeth (she could lose some weight though but those are can be easily be taken care of later on). Indeed, talented and strong mind may prinsipyo.. had deep personal issues but those are can easily be taken care of by doctor Randy (10,000 pesos per session OK na yun, noh)
Anyhow, (no kidding around) may ibubuga talaga sha…a very promising talent. Ok, she just needs improvement on how to better herself (remember she grow up poor therefore, she never had those privileges e.g,,being a refine lady) and If she is not perfect nor anyone else either.
At isa pa, ‘yung charity niya na paka ganda kaya siguro she feels secure with this people because they don’t judge her.
For that reason, she should win this competation not because it is so but because she does it well..singing.

Many contoversy arises in accordance to the said favoritism of Pinoy Dream Academy Headmaster Ryan Cayabyab. In one instance, during her twelfth gala performance night, Headmaster Ryan Cayabyab was not clapping his hands[40] after Laarni has sung her rendition of a native song, Waray-waray, when in fact, the other mentors are clapping. National radio has also written an article about a said persecution of her co-scholars.[41]The radio article even said
“ The mentors led by head master Ryan Cayabyab came up with a plan that appears to be designed to eliminate Laarni from the contest. They pitted all the contestants in a one on one dual singing competition with the loser automatically being placed on probation and up for elimination from the show. Laarni was assigned to compete against Liezel who was selected as the best talent on the show three weeks in a row. The mentors chose the songs they were to sing. Liezel was given a popular hit song that complimented her voice and viewers could relate to. Laarni was given a song that was complex and not popular. [42] ”
The article went on saying
“ TThe producers of the show appear to be salivating and foaming at the mouth as the tension in the house intensified which primarily emanated from five of the six member 18-year-old group. And who was to blame? Laarni…. the girl with the strongest voice of all 16 contestants who have been on the show. A girl whom the 18-year-olds despised and tried to rid themselves of. A girl who cracked from the tension and is a candidate for being victim number four to fall by the wayside of another dropout of this ridiculous show from stress. All of this negativity is towards a young girl who loves to ….. SING.[43]
With Laarni the said they wanted to challenge her (translation - put her in a tough spot to force her out of the competition). They assigned her Bohemian Rhapsody sung by Freddie Mercury of Queen which is one of the most difficult songs anyone could sing. Mercury and American Idol’s Michael Johns are the only singers that I’ve ever herd do justice to the song and Mercury is dead. It’s a song that is so difficult that if you had the choice you would pass. Laarni didn’t have that choice. It was as if the mentors were trying to kill off Laarni.[44]
The mentors have given Liezel and Bugoy commercial songs that enhance the commercial side of their talent while they assign Laarni songs that are more about challenging her and trying to expose her weakness rather than display her strong commercial talent. Her rendition of Natural Woman is exactly they type of song that shows her true commercial strength, songs that the viewing audience can relate to. The mentors choice of Bohemian Rhapsody for her resulted in Laarni being in the bottom four. By miraculous divine intervention apparently given their guilt they saved Laarni from viewer voting which she overwhelmingly won the previous week

Why people keep on saying na biritera lng c laarni.? Helowww.. nanunuod po b kyo ng PDA every gala night?? Haaha eh halos lahat n nga ng genre nkanta nya na eh..
Pop, gospel, ballad, opera, rock, birit, rnb (although hndi nya nga forte un but still she can sing rnb..) *& ang pinaka forte nya which is mga classic na songs..
eh c liezel pabiritin mu yan hala e patay na.. pero yup, mgnda rin boses ni liezel kaya lng my binabagayan tlga ung boses nya.. rnb lang kung rnb.. atska limited lng tlga ung range ng voice nya..
c bugoy nman ung birit ni2 dinadaan sa kulot which is for me dinadaya mu na ung mga high notes kung puro kulot.. prehas sila ni liezel n RNB ang forte.. although mas mlawak ang range ni bugoy..

Time and the situations are on LAARNIE’s side and its pushing her up giving her the redemption from all the false accusations thrown on her in the many months that she thrive inside the academy - there’s no amount of mud could ever outshadow her brilliance, she emerge beautiful and they could not just ignore that.
“The most beautiful of all the flowers is the flower that blooms in adversity.”
The people who used to be against her are now taking her side(I hope for good reason - I could only trust Poy’s and Christian’s sincerity - the rest might just be riding on her popularity).
I have singled out monet as the culprit and the author of all the bad publicities that Laarnie has been getting - most of the mentors have seen already how Laarnie evolved, the most vocal of them is Derek Joey, but not monet. He contenue to mock Laarnie, and I think that’s unforgivable. Time will make him pay for all the hard times he gave Laarnie.
Monet’s definition of success is seeing Laarnie fail, but looks like he’s up for the greatest failure of his life.
I have observed this from the start how monet and the band had sabotaged the accompaniment in Laarnie’s performances -

SOME OBSERVATIONS ON LAARNIE’S PAST PERFORMANCES
I’ve been observing closely the performances of Laarnie and I’ve noticed in some of them that there is something wrong with the accompaniment. I’m not really an authority when it comes to music, but I trust my good ears in appreciation of music and I could easily sense errors with my keekness for details.
I would like therefore to get your opinion on this. I’ve start to notice this when she sung “Di ko kayang tanggapin” it is obviuos in the clips that Laarnie was surprised to hear a different accompaniment after the operatic part of the song - it was slower, to the point of dragging, compared during her practice, hence she had a hard time adjusting with the tempo and even the choreography she practiced earlier(and what more the echo in the microphone). I’ve watched the rehearsals and I can tell the difference.
In that same song, the last part was also changed - hence she had a hard time adjusting to the last high notes. I remember pretty well, that’s not how she ended the song in the rehearsals.
In her Bohemian Rhapsody performance, I noticed the error in the arrangement - which actually was partially sited by Louie Ocampo on his negative comment of Laarnie’s performance - he was puzzled if she is a boy or girl in the classic part. I think the confussion came from the arrangement of the lines:
“I’m just a poor girl nobody loves me . . .
He’s just a poor boy from a poor family.”
Obviously, there’s a mix up in the lyrics that caused the confussions. But I thought it’s not the fault of the singer but the arranger and mentor Kitchy should answer to that.
On her latest performance with Bugoy, I’ve noticed again the difference in the accompaniment between her live performance compared to the rehearsals - note how Laarnie tried to adjust her voice to the much lower notes in the opening part of her individual performance. She is indeed musically intellegent because she still manage to pull it off. Even Gerard and Lani noticed that: the unsure placement of Laarnie’s notes in the early part of the song. And I think it is not her fault. Please correct me if I wrong, but with these series of incidents in the technical side, I am smelling some kind of sabotage.
I was not too sure about this before, but I confirmed it durung Laarni’s practice with monet and kitchy and he was blaming Laarnie for the wrong tempo and that “creeps” issue. This also happened when Laarnie sung “Go The Distance” at uberture - he sabotage the accompaniment and he made it appear it’s Laarnie’s fault. Kitchy has been pointing out that Laarnie is MUSICALLY INTELLIGENT, She knows that Laarnie has been struggling in her performances to adjust to the band that gives her different accompaniment from the rehearsals.
The most obvious of this is the last high notes in her “Di Ko Kayang Tanggapin” performance You can go back to the clips to see the great difference of the accompaniment in the rehearsals and the live performance.
You could see it in Laarnie’s face she, knows how Monet is manipulating the accompaniment - that’s why she’s very hurt because she knew it - Kitchy knew it but she’s too kind to confront monet - the MUSICALLY INTELLIGENT compliment she’s been giving Laarnie is the only thing she did to defend her.
If you look at the performances of Laarnie outside the academy - ASAP, Wowowee, and when the pianist of ambassador of light did the piano - you could see the ease in her performance because she don’t have to worry about the band to change the tempo or the beat unlike during the gala night with the series of subtle sabotage in the sudden changes in the accompaniment.
All these made me admire LAARNIE even more - she knew it and she’s hurt, but have you ever heard her complain? NO! she takes it to herself, she know better and that makes her the most emotionally intelligent person I’ve known contrary to the false accusations she’s been getting. She fell down and got up and always a better person everytime.
The challenge now for Laarnie after she gets out of Monet’s claws outside the academy is to clear her tainted image from the press, the would be managers, and recording companies. The people who loved her - ALL OF US - should play a great rule in helping change that. That’s why I’m glad to note that the expelled schollars who used to hate her are now taking her side - that’s a good sign for a start. It only shows to prove that she was missjudged.
There’s long way to go for Laarnie - her good heart and the people who love her will take her there. The PDA 2 story could be an interesting subject for a documentary. How bad a reality show could become in the hands of people with questionable credibility. We could all go back to day one and watch what really happened 24/7 in the livestream.

Ako po audition pa lang nagandahan na ako sa boses ni liezel..:) sana sya ang manalo…:)
for laarni, magaling din sya kumanta no doubt… and in fairness ang LAKI ng ginanda nya (physically) since nag start PDA2..
for bugoy, magaling din… and consistent ang boses… yun lang kulang pa sa practise with words and pronunciation sometimes…
k van, ika nga ni direk joey, madali kasi i-package dahil may itsura… and again in fairness, may boses rin naman sya…
k miguel, sana wag naman kayo masyadong harsh sa kanya… kung maaalala nyo rin, sya lang halos ang hindi umaaway k laarni dati.. na nag away pa sila mismo ni bea.. tingin ko nga in fairness to the guy, he’s the most quiet dun na hindi gumagawa ng eksena para mapansin… and let’s admit may boses sya talaga, hindi pa lang tlga versatile enough ang boses… at sa comment nya na tignan na lang sa sept 14.. ano mas prefer nyo sabihin/gawin nya?.. awayin yung mga nag vote sa kanya sa pang 6th?.. para po sa akin, it’s a very normal “confident” and safe answer, pero hindi naman po necessarily tinutukoy is bibili ng boto…

i don’t want bugoy to win kasi ang pangit ng boses niya sadya niyang kinukulot boses elderly tuloy. Hindi siya mabenta sa concert dahil mahina ang personality niya sa stage siyempre gusto ng mga tao ay yung sulit ang binayad nila. I think Liezel deserve to win. Napaka ganda ng dating niya sa stage at napakaganda ng boses niya.Then Cris kasi may ibubga naman ang boses niya at napaka sexy pa ng dating sa stage.Then laarni is my 3rd choice.Siya dapat ang winner kaya lang many times nag off note siya sa huling part ng kanta lalo na kapag mataas ang nota.taht’s my final decision, what’s yours.
