Ex-PBA player Paul Alvarez threw an elbow to ABS-CBN news reporter Gretchen Malalad’s face as she was trying to interview the taxi driver who was allegedly mauled earlier by the cager.

Malalad, a contestant of the Binibining Pilipinas beauty pageant in 2002, Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Edition former housemate, and a karate black belter was able to hit Alvarez in the face in retaliation before police intervened. “Masasabi ko lang napakabastos nitong si Bong Alvarez. Noong ayaw niyang magpakuha ni-respeto namin iyon. [Noong] papasok na kami sa pintuan dahil sa nandoon ang biktima, siya na lang ang dapat na iinterbyuhin namin, pero sinasarado niya ang pintuan ayaw niyang magpadaan.” said Malalad after the incident.
