PBB Teen housemate Alex considers circumcision while inside the house
Pinoy Big Brother Teen Edition Plus housemate Alex Anselmuccio is seriously considering his circumcision done while he’s inside Big Brother’s house.
Alex’s elder brothers had their circumcision done in the Philippines when they were 18, and since he was already at the same age, he wanted to have it done as well. The other boys try to help him out by relaying their own experiences. They express concern over his having it done while in the house, especially with girls around and unknown tasks to be performed. okay lang yon…..asawa ko ng pilipino…uncut din taga qc pa his an engineeering student but for me its not a big deal on me….and im happy with 2kids now,wla namang nagbago at nag iba sa nga circumcise na lalake.

sana wag natin pagtawanan c alex…he’s just being honest at biktima lang sya ng mga tanong ni big bro…i know big bro has all the rights to ask anything sa mga housem8s, pero sana meron din syang limitation pagdating sa mga ganyang issues…parang sinamantala nya ang pagiging honest ni alex sa ganyang bagay at pagiging inosente nya sa kulturang pinoy…alam ng marami na it’s a cultural thing nga, and it’s no big deal for alex for anybody to know that he’s uncut..RESPETO lang sana sa kultura ng iba…konting respeto naman sana big bro, kagaya ng pagrespeto ng mga housem8s sayo (remember makoy, respeto rin ang issue dun sa bangayan nila ni big bro)…i hope making fun of alex’s ’supot’ issue will cease to show respect naman to other cultures, as much as we wanted our culture be respected by others.

Present status of circumcision in the Philippines
More than 90% of Filipinos think all boys and men should be circumcised.
More than 90% of Filipino boys and men are circumcised.
More than 90% of circumcision in the Philippines are done because of tradition (myths included) and peer pressure (“supot” stigma). Less than 9% are done for religious reasons and only 1% for medical reasons.
Present reality and facts on circumcision
Routine circumcision has no medical benefits (in terms of hygiene, growth spurt, cancer prevention, sexually transmitted disease prevention, and sexual enjoyment)
Circumcision should be done only for phimosis (tight opening of foreskin) with recurrent urinary tract infection, paraphimosis (restrictive foreskin) and balanitis (inflammation of glans penis).
Circumcision is not needed for salvation.
Should I have my son circumcised this summer?
Remember that not all boys and men need to be circumcised. Thus, there are two options, to be cut or not to be cut or to be circumcised or not to be circumcised.
The choice rests on the child (boy) who in turn should be assisted by the parents.
The advice is:
If you have a healthy son or grandson who will ask you whether he should undergo circumcision or not, if you know that circumcision has no medical benefits and is not needed for salvation, would you allow your son or grandson to experience the pain and risks and complications of circumcision just because of a ritual of rite to passage to manhood and fear of being teased “supot”? If you really love your son or grandson, you should advice him NO to circumcision and ignore the tradition and try to eliminate the “supot” stigma by doing public health education and advocacy.
Why is the Department of Surgery of Ospital ng Maynila Medical Center (OMMC) doing intensive public health education and advocacy?
OMMC Department of Surgery has social consciousness and has a social responsibility program. OMMC Department of Surgery cares for the Filipino people. It would like to gradually change the practice and tradition of routine circumcision for the sake of the Filipino children. It wants to save them from the pain and complications of unnecessary routine circumcision.

Circumcision in the Philippines is done only by unnecessary reason or no reason at all. The only root cause of Filipino boys force themselves to undergo circumcision is “peer pressure” by teasing any uncut boys as “supot’(By Tagalogs) and “pisot”(by Visayans).

I know more and more Filipino boys ages 0-100 years old and above are uncircumcised. Most of the uncircumcised Filipino boys are very handsome and has partly foreign blood.

Well circumcision is only a tradition in other part of the Country but here in germany not evryone are Circumcise Iam Half Filipino and German and Iam 18 years old guy. But i was circumcise when i was young .The reason is if you are not circumcise its easy to get a STD or disease but if you are not circumcise its easy to get a STD or disease as long as you know how to clean it and take good care of it you will be Disease free. Same thng with the women if they are taking care of their own thing if they wash it every day they wont get a Disease. The only thing that we get Diseases if we dont take care of ourselves and our body. But being not circumcise or being circumcise had nothing to do with it some are comfortable with it and it make you happy so be it. SOME Woman wants it SOME Woman donts as i say as long as you know how to take care of you will be fine. Most European men are not circumcised anyways and also its a not a big deal from them. I think only Filipinos culture make it such a big deal about it.

lol, I really don’t get this idea of self-mutilation.
The MAJORITY of men in the world are uncircumcised and it doesn’t make them less of a man.
Don’t argue that this is the Christian way because it’s not and don’t argue that it’s the way of becoming a man because there’s so many ways to do that.
There’s nothing manly about having plastic surgery (yes, circumcision is considered plastic surgery)
Also, don’t argue on the fact that getting circumcised makes you more filipino because it doesn’t.
