People Asia magazine’s “People of the Year 2008″
Here are the awardees of People Asia magazine’s “People of the Year 2008″ that was held Thursday, January 15 at the Sofitel Philippine Plaza Manila.

Fashion designer and social entrepreneur Rajo Laurel
International singing sensation Charice Pempengco
The event was hosted by Johnny Litton and Champagne Morales.
The awards is a brainchild of the late STAR and People Asia publisher Max Soliven five years ago and has since become a much anticipated event at the start of every new year.

bakit kaya inaangkin ng abs-cbn na sila ang nagpasikat sa batang bansot na yan e youtube ang nagpasikat dyan ah. di ba inetsa pwera na ng dos ang bata na yan. kinuha lang nila ulit ng sumikat n a. nasan na ba ang nakatalo sa kanya.

ganun naman talaga sya showbiz, kung sino sikat sya ang kukunin… paunahan lang yan..
kahit pa ano sabihin nyo, sariling sikap kaya sya sumikat.. khit ba anong build up mo sa isang tao kung hindi naman nya pagbubutihin, maappreciate ka ba ng tao?

ganda kaya ng movie nila ni curtis…baler…grrr…bitter yung whey….ang bababaw niyo..para pag awayan ang network rivalry…ang mean mu whey dun sa sinabi mong bansot si charice…manners naman kahit kaunti…kung meron tayo nun..eh be nice naman…

it’s not ABS who decided who to declared winner..pinakamaraming points o pinakamabigat ang text votes..eh nagkataon siguro that time, marami rich friends ung family ni SAm plus the fact na dami rin nagkaka-crush sa kanya na teen populations who are the textmaniacs….kaya marami syang hinakot na boto at nanalo sya..
and also about getting her when she became famous..well, just accept the fact that ABS-CBN is good in business..they serve the pancakes while still hot..that is why it’s called Show BUSINESS..and ok QUALITY CONTROL dEPARTMENT nila..ung mga dekalidad sinasala tlga nila..at ung mga OBSOLETE na, tinatapon na..
So quality-wise, ABS-CBN ako..

fyi, the LBS judges favored charice to win over sam pero sobrang layo ng agwat sa text votes and the audiences were routing for him, kaya si sam ang nanalo.
saka, hindi rin naman nagpapahuli si sam when it comes to talent and achievements one of which was when Walt Disney chose him to sing a soundtrack for Kung Fu Panda.
