Philippine Entertainment Portal or PEP said it is ready to face the P25-million libel case filed by actor Richard Gutierrez for allegedly publishing a false report about him.

Atty Sandy Coronel, the entertainment web site’s legal counsel, maintained that PEP did not violate any law and even the code of ethics of journalists when it uploaded a story on the alleged gun-toting incident involving Gutierrez and another actor Michael Flores.

“Kung [gaano] kadesidido silang magsampa [ng kaso] ay ganoon din kami kadesididong mag-depensa.” said Colonel.

Named as respondents in the five-page complaint were editor-in-chief Jo-Ann Maglipon, PEP managing editor Karen Pagsolingan and staff writer Ferdinand “Bong” Godinez.
