One of the reasons, why it’s hard to be a Filipino in other counties. The stigma affects everyone including the honest people. A friend of mine said, it’ll take a couple of generations {woped out) to lessen if not illiminate corrupt people in the Philippines. Kawawa naman ang bayang Pilipinas.

It’s been an issue that our country is always in the list of the the most corrupt countries in the world. No wonder! we’re living in a poor country..I really feel bad that our being one of the richest country way back in the early 70’s is now replaced as one of the most corrupt country..Who’s to blame now? Is is the government? I am not saying that.in my own point of view it is something to do w/ our public officials who administer the progress of our country..It’s so sad that most of our public officials are the one practicing corruption instead their the one who stops corruption.MAY GOD BLESS US ALL!

The country of the Philippines is rotten to the core with corruption. Politically, the government handles the opposition with “Extrajudicial Killings”…they are one of the worst countries, in terms of Human Rights violations. As an American who was trying to seek justice in your country, for a crime that was perpetuated by a filipino: I faced obstacles with EVERY single agency dealt with, especially Philippine Immigration. EVERYONE had their hands out expecting me to BUY JUSTICE.
When it comes to the enviornment, the Philippines treats their country like it is one huge landfill. I have never seen such disgustion pollution…people have no pride and are lazy! Your country SUCKS!!! You wonder why God is punishing you…just look at yourself…You are a disgrace to the world!!! You will never change.

in the past 30 years Philippines has average 3.1% annual GDP growth and population growth of 2.5% which means almost no improvements for over 30 years. REASONS why?1. Politics 2. Uncontrolled population growth 3. Weak educational system 4. CORRUPTION! 5. Inadequate infrastructure 6. An agriculture system that hasn’t improved in 30 years 7. An inadequate focus on job creation 8. Security 10. Good governance 11. Catholic church. If these 11, and it must be 11 of them, aren’t fixed the Philippines will average 3.1% for the nest 30 years too. The logic of this can’t be denied! THE COUNTRY NEEDS A TOUGH, DETERMINED, VISIONARY LEADER! in 2002 Wallace said “a nine-year presidency gives her a chance for that change”. Well, 6 years have gone and the President has not addressed those issues in a sufficient meaningful way! FOR THE SAKE OF THOSE FILIPINOS WHO REALLY CARE FOR THEIR COUNTRY. IT’S TIME TO ACT!!!!!!

Filipinos are not meant to be politicians, they easily get corrupted by power.
It’s so sad that all the hard earned money and taxes that our Filipino countrymen are paying to our government only end up in the politicians pockets.

ur gov. technics are the same technic used by the spanish gov.era they flooded the minds of ur people with entertainments, to make the people focus their mind not to politics but to fiestas, like today arroyo is flooding the mind of the people with holidays, entertainment ( they are not strict about censorship during the noontime shows,) but they are very strict about religious progarms, political programs, pressfreedom ect. . . . don’t u people notice that? yes because ure so entoxicated by the wine of ur gov.

I have to agree with this. Filipinos really have got no idea. From the overall corruption of ordinary people to the government there is a real feeling of something fundamental missing in this country. There is rubbish everywhere, homeless people in the parks, trash on TV and the culture on the surface is a tragic wanna-be American style. From the way the roads are built to just using everyday services such as a post office, it’s always dodgy or difficult. Infrastructure is inadequate, the politics is unstabel, overpopulation is out of control and the religion makes people so conservative that nobody is really willing to touch the issue. As a foreigner, I can rarely go anywhere without people begging for money or people trying to rip me off. The “gimme gimme” theme is indemic in this country and some people who I have dealt with expect to do nothing but want to take everything. Is it little wonder as to why nobody wants to invest in this country?
I feel sorry for those intelligent enough to see past all the blatant commercialisation of everything, the way society is brainwashed through all the trashy song and dance shows rather than focusing on the real issues and just the general selfishness that goes on.
It’s obvious that not all people are filthy, nasty and corrupt. But from someone who has lived in another country it is very obvious to see what’s going on. The prevailing misery and desperation which rules in the Philippines can’t be blamed totally on just the people. However, the culture from which it lives in is making it and will NEVER make it any better than a snake eating it’s own tail. How long and how bad will things get before something changes?
Cheers

comments ko lang sa kabayan natin kung a a sinso ang ating bansa dapat CORRECT mo na nating attitude maging creative tayo sa isang bagay, maraming mga matatalinong kabataan ngayong, we should creat something aProducts that can generate revenue for the Country expertise and keep on improving and developing skills. Sharing and supporting of Pinoy small Businesses is important to every Filipinos. focus on Research & Development specially generation x and y to be creative and specialise skill that can compete local and global market to contribute our economy, kagaya ni la ,albert ienstine ,bill gates, steve johnson for computer softwer, larry page, karl benz the founder of mercedes benz, sakichi toyoda toyota founder. ginamit nila ang kanilang talino at ang research development.hindi ang attitude. kaya siguro oonlad tayo kung bagohin nating at bigyan natin nang inspirasyon ang mga kabataan ngayon ng suporta.

Para sakin as of now, ang bansa natin ay wala nang manyayari in the future, kasi di na alam ng mga tao kung sino pa ba ang pag kakatiwalaan sa gobyerno natin un tlga’n willing mag sacrifice sa bansa natin…So ngayon kung tatanongin ako sa atin gov’t ay wala ako masasabi kung hindi pare parehas lng sila n nagkukungwari dhil may mga kinikilingan sila or nag sisiraan used the media…Sana may taong marcos ang pag-iisip at ugalin mabait like cory na mag reveal nang katotohanan, diba guys…

No more Queen of the Pacific, Pearl of the Orient. Past is past. Its impossible to bring back those good memories. Don’t just blame politicians but blame for ourselves. All of us are corrupt from highest up to the lowest degree. My grandfather has a point. Destroy the old civilization and have a new one. The one who doesn’t have any knowledge in corruption.
