Why is it when you check the bandwidth using PLDT’s speedtest meter, the reported kbps is around 355-365kbps only?

Bakit kahit nag upgrade yung Globe saksakan pa rin ng bagal nung DSL namin? Eh kahit naman nag upgrade di naman umaabot dun yung speed ng internet ko sa bahay.

We would like your good company that my cousin Jesusita Angcaya of Dasmariñas, Cavite has paid all its obligation with MyPLDTDSL, even she cannot use it for 4 months.
But still as of this date she still receives a balance account, what kind of service is this?
We need to reinburse our previous payment for unuse bills, let us know please, as long as your company is concern.

My experience is very much the same as you guys.
I’ve called 172 and once in the system, you wouldn’t even know what number to press. You have to call about 2-3 times before you can get to where you would like to call. An automated prompt will ask you to keyin your phone number where the DSL is connected then you will be connected to a customer rep who will then ask again for the telephone number. I don’t know what the heck the rep is doing because if I ask him what service we have, he will tell me that he will look for my file. what the f___ is that. Why are they asking for the tel #? Isn’t that to access the file and see the history or record?
Does PLDT management know this is what is happening at their customer service division? Is PLDT so big a company that they don’t care about customers anymore? They just advertise and get to sign-up people and once signed, connect the service and doesn’t even care if their equipment can handle all the customers!!! Paging Mr. Manny Pangilinan!!! I haven’t said my problem yet Mr. Pangilinan. What I’m saying now is how the customer can get in touch with a PLDT customer rep or better yet how the customer CAN’T GET IN TOUCH WITH PLDT CUSTOMER REP, not yet my real problem. How can we expect PLDT to service my problem if we can’t even get in touch with the reps.
Oooopppps, guess I’ve touched another problem here. Guess this is the SOP of PLDT so that they can’t get complaints. make it hard on the customer to get in touch with PLDT customer service. A TELCO that is hard to get in touch with, providing getting in touch with is your buiness Mr. Paginlinan. I CAN’T GET IN TOUCH WITH PLDT.
No complaints, no problems. No complaints, no problems… let’s get more customers. Nobody is complaining about our service, PLDT is #1, YEAH RIGHT. This is what we call giving the customers the round-around, hi-tech style. PLDT is using what they call in the US as a deadend call. You can’t talk to anybody because it is all automated. They programmed it in such a way that you can’t get to talk to anybody to complain. What you hear is all the marketing of products which you don’t care about. All you want is to make a complaint.
OK, let’s assume that you were able to talk to a customer rep, ooooppppsss, wrong number, you pressed the wrong number. You need to call again because they don’t handle the DSL. It sucks. Finally you get to talk with somebody but then it was the wrong group that got your call so they tell you to dial 172 AGAIN. Oh they really want you to suffer.
This is long now. I’ll just submit another next time. So you guys, keep on plugging. Somehow, sometime… we will get to them. AS I SAY AGAIN, KEEP ON PLUGGING.

nung una maganda ang service ng pldt sa amin pero kung kelan nagkaroon ng mga hi tech na naglalabasan na sun, globe , smart saka sila ang kulelat ngayon. bumaba pa lalo ang speed connection nila kesa dati. Hindi naman pwedeng ipatanggal agad dahil sa lock in period nila kung ipaalis mo may babayadan ka pang 5000.

im locked-in to a 2-year contract yata kaso ayaw ko na sa pldt kasi mali mali yung billing nila. may mga hidden charges. pag hindi ko ba binayaran yun at mag switch nalang ako sa smartbro, kakasuhan nila ako? may nakukong na ba sa ganung kaso?
plano ko kasi mag pakabit nalang ng smartbro kasi medyo ok din naman connection dito sa amin. advice naman po if hindi ko nalang bayaran? pa terminate ko?

Dati speed namin 512kbs, tapos nung pina-upgrade naming 1mbps, lagi na lang nadi-disconnect, minsan limang beses na ddc sa loob ng isang linggo. minsan 2 beses sa iisang araw pa lang, anong klaseng serbisyo to. Dati lag lang, ngayon, dc at lag na.

nsubukan ko n s lugar nmin yung smartbro(olongapo city within the city lng ako) ok nmn yung speed nila 1mbps kpag ngche2ck ako s speedtest.net dahil cguro malapit lng kmi s tower nila (SBFZ) pero ang problema kpag ngagalaw yung antenna ng s taas ng bhay nmin nwawala ang connection nila ntatagalan bgo mgkaroon ng connection uli.. kpag tumwag k s customer service nila tatanungin kung ilang araw n wlang connection.. tpos kpag nsgot mo n.. ang sgot lng under maintenance.. wla k n lng mgagawa.. after the 1 year contract ko s smartbro. ngdecide ako n magpalit ng ISP yung nga s sisiter company ng smart n PLDT. nging avail. d2 s amin ang mydsl n bundle landline nila 4 only 990.. den ng PLDT n lng kmi dami hidden charges nung una… cguro almost 3 monhs n mataas bill nmin.. anyway gnun tlga businesss strategy yta tlga nila at ndi ko npansin n 384kbps lng speed ng plan 990.. cguro mali rin ako s ndi ko pagbasa ng lahat2.. pero s connection wla ako msasabi.. wlng putol ang connection nila.. s tgal ko ng gngmit isang beses lng kmi nwlan ng connection.. at wla rin prob. kung plitan mo router nila at gwin mong wifi n router pero ikaw dapat mismo ang mgtroubleshoot ng router mo.. dahil wla k mapapala s customer support ng PLDT. khit s internet connection un s hotline lng nila n wlang silbi nsubkan ko mnsan n nwlan connection.. pra s akin lng h s range n PHP999 s smart at s PLDT990 s ISP prehas clang may advantages at disadvantages s location nmin kung stability ng connection mgnda d2 s amin ang PLDT at kung may pera k magdag2 kp s higher plans nila to get more speed in connection.. at s smart nmn n halos prehas ang monthly bill s PLDT mbilis ang connection nila ang prob. lng kpag nwawala ang connection nila ntatagalan bgo mkablik.. ndi ko p nsubukan ang globe d2.. pero bka ndi ko n rin subukan mag-uupgrade n lng ako ng plan s PLDT sna lng babaan nila yung plan.. prehas lng kc may ari ng smart at pldt s pagkakaalam ko.. kya sinakop nila prehas ang service s internet. ung isa s broadband, ung isa s DSL.. binigay ko lng opinyon ko d2 base n rin s na experience ko about s dalawang ISP n smart at PLDT.. nsa sinyo p rin kung anong ISP ang pipiliin nyo depende s lugar nyo.. tnx Gud DAy..

I agree with (and that) pldt sucks. magaling lang sa promo, pero sa services hindi.
nag-upgrade kami from telepwede to mydsl, tapos di naman ganun kabilis gaya ng sabi nila, at di rin marunong magbigay ng billing statements–kailangan mo pang puntahan sa mismong pldt office nila at syempre hindi ka rin makakabayad sa bayad centers kung wala kang bill.
ang siste, kabago-bago lang ng connection namin, tapos after three months nagloloko na ang connection. one week walang dial tone, two weeks, three weeks, tapos latest one month wala kaming connection at lahat.
hindi ka naman pwede makalipat sa ibang provider agad-agad dahil naka-lock in ang term nila for one year. =(
hindi ba pwede ireklamo sa NTC ang PLDT? sa lahat ng companies na nag-o-offer ng services sa publiko, PLDT ang pinaka GRABE.
