PRC Mechanical Engineering Board Exam Results (October 2008)
The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) on Thursday announced that 1,132 out of 2,006 or 56.43% of the examinees passed the Mechanical Engineer Licensure Examinations given by the Board of Mechanical Engineering earlier this month.

The examinations were for mechanical engineers and certified plant mechanics. The results of the examinations were released in one working day after the examinations, the PRC said.
The oathtaking ceremonies will be held before the board in Manila on Thursday, November 20 at 1PM at the Fiesta Pavillion, Manila Hotel; board passers in Cebu on Tuesday, November 25, at 4PM at the Grand Majestic Convention Center; and board passers in Davao on Saturday, November 29, 6PM at the Grand Men Seng Hotel.

multiple choice na nga lang yan mababa parin? pero d ako bilib sa PRC ngayon kasi they dont make exams liek they used to. dati full blown problem solving ang exams ngayon multiple choice lng.

subukan niyong kumuha… hehehe for our time yung math 85 out of 100 is problem solving with power plant and design problems pa…
kaya di ako bilib sa mga taga maynila kasi may leakage pala kayo… sa visayas at mindanao di uso yun…

bakit hindi binanggit dito yung mga topnotchers?! walang kwenta baka mababa rin scores nila baka 76 lang ang highest, tapos mga iba 75 pasang awa! mga bumagsak talagang mahina at 68 lang score nila nakakahiya

ang yabang naman ng taong to (rta)… kung gusto mo mag petition ka nalang sa PRC na ibalik yung dating full blown problem solving ang exams. Well that’s gonna be okay for me na soon to take the board exam. And I’ll show you what I’ve got.

Sinong nagsabi na walang kwenta ang Mechanical Eng’g na coarse… Brad di kami nagpapakahirap mag-aral ng minimum of 5 years para ganyanin mo lang. Got it? This generation would be a mess without a skill and expertise of a mechanical engineer. Please realize that.

to rta and Talangkang Pinoy: wag kaung magmagaling, wag nyo alispustahin ang course na ME at ang licensure namin, malamang bobo yan, o di kaya mga frustrated ME’s yan, wag nyo pansinin. Kahit multiple choice ang exam ng ME, hindi ibig sabihin ay hindi mahirap, we can’t just select any letter para sa sagot, hindi rin pwedeng guessing game lang. Kung sakali mang ibalik ang full blown problem solving, walang problema sa mga ME.

The multiple choice type of exam for ME was introduced and enacted in 1995 when the PSME was under the leadership of the late Mr. Antonio Ro Herrera to give an ease for those examinees who had been flunking the full blown problem type of examinations.
I am not against the existing one but truly medyo may tsamba nga ngayon compared sa dati…

Naks! Di lang sa ME humahataw, pati din sa Accountancy at sobra sa ECE dami nagtop.

sa computation need mo talaga mag-compute dahil lapit lapit ang choices.
sa elements, lalo na sa machine design, pagka-hirap hirap yung mga tipong ngayon mo lang masasalubong yung term na yun.
di biro ang mag-review at patience talaga ang need sa preparation for board.
Kaya ang masasabi ko lang dun sa mga nagsasabi madali ang ME, sige ok lang pero pag nagka-anak kayo at kumuha yan ng kurso namin sige lang imposible di kayo makarinig ng “Ma/Pa ang hirap talaga” :)
