Regine Velasquez as Kim Sam Soon
GMA Network acquired the rights to make a local version of the romantic-comedy series “My Name is Kim Sam Soon”.
GMA has chosen singer-actress Regine Velasquez to play the lead role of Kim Sam Soon. Mark Anthony Fernandez will play the role of Cyrus, the guy who owns the restaurant where Sam Soon works as a pastry chef. Wendell Ramos will play the role of Dr Henry Kim. The Philippine adaptation of the top-rating Koreanovela will be directed by Dominic Zapata and Khryss Adalia.

ABS CBN just doesnt come up with sensible and worth-watching shows..they lack public service announcements..they lack value-oriented concepts..they dont give importance to their artists..and they are unable to find COMPETENT artists unless they hurdle through the GMA roster of stars..
i believe GMA has more INTELLIGENT viewers. they appreciate what makes sense. and what addresses the issues of today without having to compromise entertainment.
ang KAPAMILYA station po in my opinion ay profit-oriented and TACKY. really tacky. and i think they should lessen the “impersonations” ..kase i notice their shows gather audience by getting GAYS to impersonate certain artists..and that is SOOOO RUSTIC. they should surprise their audience by coming up with something NEW.

Kim Sun Ah (Sunnie) was 29 years old when My Lovely Sam Soon was aired in Korea. Hyun Bin (Binnie) was 22 years old then. Regine is I think 38? Also, Sunnie is a very pretty girl and Binnie is a real hot.
I just hope that Regine and Mark will do justice to my beautiful Sunnie and to my pretty boy Binnie! And also, I really hope the network will not lengthen the story just for the sake of ratings. My Lovely Sam Soon is only 16 episodes running at an average of 50 minutes per episode.
I have not watched Filipino Dramas for a long time now. I’m into Korean, Taiwanese and Japanese Drama. However, for the sake of knowing how will Regine portray her role as Sam Soon, this the first time I’ll watch Fil. Drama again.
Another thing is, to date, I have not seen a web page where Koreans/Japanese/Taiwanese attacking their own celebrities in the same manner Filipinos are doing them. If you know one, please drop me a note, give me the link. I just want to prove that not only Filipinos are doing this kind of thing.

Ah, by the way, My Lovely Sam Soon is one of my favorite drama. I have watched it about 10 times or more during the holidays and will watch it again to refresh my memory before watching the Fil. version. I am keeping my fingers crossed and looking forward to a nice version. Don’t care about the artists that much because we can do nothing about it. It’s how well they will act. You know Phil. show business, the more you talk about it, be it good or bad, the more intriguing, the mote controversy, the better. Peace!!

naman eeeeew! compare mo naman ung ratio ng sensible and not sensible shows ng both networks…mas madami namang worth watching shows sa GMA…at kase po ang dyesebel ay adaptation. they have to give it justice by sticking to the original story. credits naman kay mars ravelo! and come to think of it…panahon pa ni copong copong ginawa un! dipa innovative ang fantasy dati..come on cut some slack!;D

Kapamilya ako but I must say na I really felt na okay naman na si Regine ang gumanap na Kim Sam Soon. One my favorite ang Kim Sam Soon when I heard na Regine will portray the role of Sam Soon medyo excited narin ako na mapanuod. Mark Anthony as Cyrus? Well, I haven’t seen Mark Anthony’s acting for sometime. But I do hope he could do well with this. Good Luck.

basta kim sam soon nakakapgpasaya sa amin tuwing gabi, regine is really good, mark is also good and very good looking and all the cast talagang nakakatawa to the max. Kami nman sa family talagang GMA KAPUSO FANATICS kami. we don’t switch channel from morning till dawn.
