Richard Carpenter has arrived in Manila early Thursday.
Carpenter visited the country to attend the February 17 launch of Claire dela Fuente’s (dubbed as the Karen Carpenter of the Philippines) latest album, which has the carrier single “Something In Your Eyes.” Carpenter composed the song for his sister, the late Karen Carpenter, who died of cardiac arrest due to complications of anorexia nervosa. The Carpenters is one of the best-selling music artists of all time and had a string of American Top 40 and Adult Contemporary hits.
