Rico Blanco goes solo with the release of new single, “Yugto”
The former frontman of Rivermaya, Rico Blanco marks his return to the local music scene as a solo artist with the release of his new single titled “Yugto” under Warner Music Philippines.
Rico toured the United States and Europe during his one year of hiatus and has used all he has learned from his travels to experiment on different sounds and create a new kind of music. His debut album is scheduled to be released this July.

Ang pagkaka-alam ko kaya umalis si Rico sa Rivermaya dahil gusto nyang mag-artista kaso alang tumanggap e. Mejo nayayabangan yata… Sa totoo lang nung nawala si Bamboo noon sa Rivermaya diko na idol ang Rivermaya.

during the few years i spent college back in the PI, that was like 90’s, Rivermaya used to pay alongside with Wolfgang and Razorback at Weekends Live….can remember where it was located been away for many years ;)..and i really like the “bandstand” during those times. RiverMaya members the original line up i mean, had certain difficulties with one another which i think were quite hard for them to work out among themselves. Rico is a talented guy…but at times when someone wanna be in all places at the same time, he needs some companions.No man is an island…

Well for me Rico is the best!! Pinagmamalaki ko ang Rico Blanco q hehe… npakagaling sa composing at music.. halos lhat ng kinanta nya FAVORITE ko.. may spirit kc kapag sya ang kumakanta., Nkakadala at mararamdman mong msaya ka kapag boses nya ang narinig mo… well Lahat tau ay may pangarap at may katapusan.. sa Music.. sna one time mapanud ko c Rico ng Live..
