A fire of still unknown origin hit Power Plant Mall at Rockwell Center in Makati City early Saturday night, causing panic among mall goers, police said.
The Makati Fire Department said the fire started at around 8 p.m. at the kitchen of Sumo Sam, a Japanese restaurant.
Kitchen personnel of the said restaurant used a fire extinguisher to put out the fire, which only reached the first alarm. No one was reported hurt or injured in the fire.
The Rockwell Power Plant Mall will return to its normal operations on Sunday.
