Ronnie Alcano fails to defend World 8-Ball title

Germany’s Ralf Souquet beat Filipino Ronnie Alcano, 13-9 to capture the 2008 World 8-Ball Championship in Fujairah, United Arab Emirates.

Souquet also took home the tournament’s $60,000 championship prize. Souquet was the same guy Alcano beat in the finals of the 2006 World Pool (9-ball) Championship in Manila.
