The entertainment press asked the host of Pinoy Fear Factor regarding the report that came out in the tabloid Balita that the Eat Bulaga show in Los Angeles, which Ryan and his fiancee Judy Ann Santos were a part of was a flop.

“Hindi siya flop by all means. Kasi mahirap magsalita, maiipit ako actually if I defend it, e. Pero siguro I’ll defend it but meron akong mga puwedeng sabihin to defend it that will dispel rumors; but I can’t say, ganun na lang. But for me, from what I saw, there’s a good crowd. One of the better crowds I’ve been in, so that’s all that matters to me,” says Ryan Agoncillo.

The issue started from an article written by Dindo Balares of Balita. In the article titled “Bakit nag-flop sa U.S. ang Eat Bulaga?” published in Balita last Tuesday, July 29, Balares wrote: “Usap-usapan sa kahit na saang umpukan sa showbiz na nasasalihan namin ngayon ang diumano’y pagiging flop ng Eat Bulaga sa U.S. Superflop pa nga ang naririnig naming sinasabi ng mga malditang bading. Ayon sa mga katoto na may makakating dila, nagsimula raw ang tsismis sa pagiging flop ng Eat Bulaga sa Internet.”
