The San Beda Red Lions took Game 1 of the best-of-three NCAA Finals basketball game by beating the Letran Knights, 76-68, at the Araneta Coliseum Wednesday.

The Lions are pursuing back-to-back championships, which they achieved in 1951-52 and 1977-78. They have a longer streak of three straight championships from 1934-36. The Lions bagged the NCAA basketball championship in the 2006 season.

Kala mo kung sinong galing sa mataas na school na kalevel ng ateneo eh pul-pol naman. hindi por que blue ang kulay niyo eh ATENISTA na kayo! ang yayabang niyo! umayos nga kayo hindi bagay sa inyo!

so what if letran has 16 , 18, or 50 titles good for them. but this is our year, our era, our time. we are the current, let me repeat, current champions. back to back baby.
    go san beda fight!

Letran is Letran when it comes to NCAA. Letran always beats San Beda. They tagged Beda as whipping boys of the NCAA. They have to import a player just win the NCAA 2006 Basketball. They have a 28 year title drought. Letran has 16 titles under its belt.
If you will compare Letran and San Beda it will be a mismatch. Letran has the longer streak championship under Samboy Lim.
