San Beda beats Letran in Game 1 of NCAA Finals

The San Beda Red Lions took Game 1 of the best-of-three NCAA Finals basketball game by beating the Letran Knights, 76-68, at the Araneta Coliseum Wednesday.
The Lions are pursuing back-to-back championships, which they achieved in 1951-52 and 1977-78. They have a longer streak of three straight championships from 1934-36. The Lions bagged the NCAA basketball championship in the 2006 season.
