  6. I. Dagli-E. Says:

Friends, lets’ take into consideration the things that they have done before choosing our respective bets. … God Bless us.

  7. juandelacruz Says:

i’ll vote for senatorial candidates who are not aligned with Gloria & Erap. this is the right time to change.

  8. the hidden quark Says:

We have seen POPULAR politicians, MILITARY politicians, SHOWBIZ politicians,
ATHLETIC politicians, and REAL & BRILLIANT politicians wether in the lower or
upper house. This is the time for us to choose intelligently, wisely and Godly.
Let’s not just see and vote people who are popular but those who are highly
QUALIFIED to be a law-maker. Trabaho lang, walang personalan. If they’ll give
money, take it! We can’t do away with this political strategy of these future
    MAMBABATAS. Think NOW or NEVER.

  9. irma Says:

GO…YOU HAVE MY VOTE, SANA NGA LANG YOU INCLUDED RICHARD GOMEZ IN
YOU SENATORIAL SLATE. I THINK HE WILL CARRY THE VISION OF THE LATE
FERNANDO POE JR. AS FOR THE TEAM UNITY (TUTA–TEAM UNITY TAGA ARROYA)

  10. neiL Says:

Francis Escudero is one of my bet in May Election, then Francis Pangilinan, Manny Villar…
No need for them! Loyalty is what we are looking for.

  11. reg Says:

the truth is, these names are have been poltical personalities since the beginning of time. and have we seen change? with more than half of the population under the pverty line, i think we all deserve new blood in the government. let’s stop supporting the has-beens (i.e maceda, coseteng), the obviously corrupt (i.e. chavit singson) and well, the rest who were given the chance to show what they could do for the country but just didn’t do anything but raise useless issues in the congress and senate instead of discussing laws and the national budget. clearly, we need the rise of politicians who understands the people and will help the people.

  12. Pol Says:

  13. viol Says:

To eliminate buying of votes, why not consider only the tax paying population? Kahit once lang na nakabayad sa tax may be included in the list. anyway, its those who share in the economy who should have the right to vote. I think these are the group of people who might be using their heads in voting.

  14. raymond fiel Says:

    sentiments to the nation..

  16. marybeth jarloyan Says:

I’ve seen the proclamation rally of the team unity on RPN 9 i pray taht the voting people will be responsible and intelligent enough to vote not popularity but on their platforms..Im afraid of wahat ceasar montano cud do in the senate gosh his speech was disgusting, its void of substance and meaning. Tito Sotto is such a trapo already. We have a taste of them already, the likes of oreta, joker, singson, pichay , were they able to make a difference?certainly not..It is sad to note that it seems Philippines is doomed already.Political rallies and speeches are too good to be true, the Filipino people are sick and tired of all those promises-wat they want is food in their table, a shelter for their family and more jobs for everybody…. Vote wisely

  17. Kyle Fergy Licious Says:

    mananalong kandidato.

  21. eunice abalos Says:

well,i’ve got a big comment for pichay and i hope im not offending any of his supporters,”pangarap kong tuparin ang mga pangarap niyo”?It’s very wrong,
Hanggang pangarap lang?oh,better think Philippines. It’s not that I’m putting him down. It’s just I CARE for the Philippines.Think and vote wisely!

  22. Ernesto Mijares Says:

I do not say that this administration is good but for the moment wala akong makitang magandang alternatibo. Even the GO doesn’t offer anything. They don’t even have a platform to speak of. At least for the moment kahit katiting merong nangyayaring maganda.

  24. ted cassidy Says:

Choose wisely from the PARTYLIST groups. Nationalists okay but…leftists? Nakakapanindig balahibo. It’s not yet late to expose these wolves in sheeps’ clothing.

i can see TU senatoriable bets as the best candidates with concrete platforms and unselfish
vision for the nation.. GO on the other hand as described by joker arroyo only look forward on ousting
the prseident but they dont want to accept the fact that when GMA is ousted, noli de castro
    would take place.

they keep on shouting that officials should protect and respect the costitution but they cant
abide with it… ironic isnt it….???

on the 14th of may,,, we should think of our nation’s future… lets not allow detractors
to continouosly impede the nation’s fast recovering and growing economy….

Frankly, I don’t believe in election anymore. Our country is at doomed and all this fu**ing leeches in senate are the one’s to blame. I think it’s time for a change. Let’s admit it democracy does not suit our dying country. Make a research yourselves and you’ll find out. Statistics showed that eversince we shifted to democracy our economy starled down dramatically. One ruler is enough, so much for those people who are in position and does nothing but to suck money from us tax payers.

  31. Ronel Lee Alijado Says:

Election is one of the most important days in Philippine history.Filipinos have to select intelligently and responsibly candidates for the future of the country. We cannot escape the fact that there has been no economic development and growth because of the unsolved corruption in the governance. Poverty, disease, disorder, and crisis are still living with us, killing lives and losing the dreams and aspirations of the people.

  32. Meme Says:

    Vote Wisely! Straight TEAM UNITY

I’ve been leaving in the UK but right now I’m here in the Philippines. This coming election I will vote straight to TEAM UNITY – I don’t like all the candidates but by voting straight it shows that my support is to the administration of Pres. Arroyo. My British husband said that the reason our politics is not stable it’s because of our system - we vote on individual candidates.

    Example:
Let’s say on this coming election it’s the Opposition who win the majority in the Congress and in the Senate so, what they’re going to do is just make the administration of Pres. Arroyo difficult – not easy, their going to file an impeachment to remove Pres. Arroyo in power – and who will replace? Back to J. Estrada again – our politics will just go in circle – never ending story of political aggression – NO PEACE – and who will be affected ‘US’ the Filipino people – Politicians don’t mind that we suffer for their actions – all they’re interested is the POWER.

My husband said that in United Kingdom they vote to a political party not to the individual candidates that’s why they don’t have political violence and the party they elected – can work together as a TEAM for the PROGRESS of the Country. And this kind of system is the best in the world if only people will just VOTE WISELY.

He also said to me that our President (ARROYO) is the best we have at present – take that from a foreigner’s point of view. If all of us Filipino can give our support to our Pres. and allow her to do her job then we might achieve STABILITY in politics, peace and order, and economy – then PROGRESS will follow.

So why don’t we just support the Present Administration - PRES. ARROYO

    Vote Straight TEAM UNITY

    1) Mike Defensor
 He is known to be one of Mrs. Arroyo’s most vocal supporters.

    2) Butch Pichay
 In 2000, Pichay joins congressmen who endorsed the verified complaint against President Joseph Estrada.
 Pichay voted to junk the 2005 and 2006 impeachment complaints against President Arroyo.

    3) Migz Zubiri
 He was also one of the first complainants of the Estrada impeachment case in 2000.

    4) Ralph Recto

 Responsible for the release of the American and the German nationals from the captivity of the MNLF

    6) Cesar Montano
 “Leyte Governor Petilla out of TEAM Unity, actor Cesar Montano in”
 Montano was endorsed by Petilla himself because the actor was also a Visayan
 Montano was chosen by Lakas-Christian Muslim Democrats (Lakas-CMD) and by TEAM Unity itself.

    7) Joker Arroyo

    12) Vic Magsaysay
 In 1992 he accepted the invitation of former First Lady Imelda Marcos as her vice presidential candidate.

  33. Ray Says:

Think wisely. Not all of the administration’s candidates are perfect to have the
    task of being senator.

  34. Mishi Says:

That’s an interesting point you made there Meme but I disagree. Party politics of the UK and the Philippines are so different that you cannot possibly copy their voting behaviour to ours.

The UK political system is one of the most stable systems in the world. It is a parliamentary system with two clear cut political parties that have very clear cut ideologies. The Philippines on the other hand is multiparty. While there are benefits of having a lot of parties to choose from which a two party system does not provide, our party system however is somewhat unique and have afforded itself the term “redundant.” Our political parties are not based on ideology, unfortunately. The ideological spectrum from liberal to socialist, from right to left, with terms such as center right and center left DOES NOT APPLY TO OUR SYSTEM. Our parties are created differently.

It is why in our case, voting in terms of political parties, in my opinion, should not be done and instead should be based on the integrity of each senatorial candidate, the laws they have passed, the things they support, and their own specific ideologies.

I agree with your husband entirely that the Philippine political system is hopelessly flawed, but before we can vote the same way as the Brits do, we have to seriously overhaul our party system first and promote education on the political ideologies they represent.
