I don’t see how any one in the Philippines can complain about Racism The Philippines is one of the most racist countries in the world.
How many of you shout things like Hey Joe at every white man you see or put on stupid American accents and say thing like hey f**k you man.
Please don’t say Hey Joe is not racist it is, you don’t shout it at Filipino’s it is shouted because of the colour of a persons skin, so it is rasist.
I am ashamed to be Filipino, I am married to a English man and the racist shouts every where we go in the Philippines is non-stop.
Filipino’s find it funny to call names to people just because of the colour of their skin, but as this shows they don’t like it back.
The stupid thing is them racist shouts by Filipinos what they think is so funny to shout is the reason this country is still third world, $93billion US Dollars a year in lost tourist and lost investment.
This is the amount tourist spend in Thailand every year and they go back to Thailand every year same could happen here but people don’t come back because of your racist shouts.

This is 4.5 trillion peso and works out at 64,285 peso a year for every person in the Philippines that could provide free schools and college for every child and free hospitals for every person in the Philippines country.
No one would die because they can’t afford treatment no one would need to be homeless or hungry.”

Wow, such profound words on issues so trivial.. The Philippines is one of the most racist countries in the world bla bla bla.. Guess what, in many societies, racism is always present. Your claim of the Philippines being the most racist place on earth is by the very nature a racist claim. An act of self-racism towards your own people and nation. Well done, well done indeed. Good thing that your Englishman-in-shining-armor came to you and saved the day.

Whites get shouted at with “Hey Joe!” and Filipinos putting on “stupid American accents”, according to your claims.. So what? Big deal. It is true that this happens but your claim of “Hey Joe!” being shouted out loud like a sound file played on full repeat is just the most ridiculous unfounded claim I have ever heard. And Filipinos impersonating Americanisms is due to its status of being an American cultural bastion in Asia and its American colonial past. We don’t do it for a laugh and Philippine English is certainly phonologically 99 percent similar to American English. Native Filipino Anglophiles will have American accents so please think twice before you lambast them with accusations of putting on “stupid American accents”.

Western tourists not coming back to the Philippines because they were being greeted with Hey Joes while they gladly go back to Thailand?? Wow. Seriously, are you for real? That’s the most bogus accusation ever. It’s more likely that Western tourists don’t go back for OTHER reasons – the Muslim and Communist insurgencies perhaps, or the kidnap-for-ransom gangs that target foreigners are credible reasons. And for your information, the Philippines is probably where Westerners and white-skinned people get treated very well the most. Yes there is racism involved, called “colonial mentality” – whereby fair-skinned people are treated like kings and dark-skinned folks are treated like dirt, thanks to 400 years of Spanish colonial rule.

And you are ashamed of being Filipino? Oh did I not tell you about the other complex Filipinos suffer from, besides colonial mentality? It’s the inferiority complex – whereby Filipinos are ashamed of being who they are, being a Filipino. So please enough with your wild exaggerations. You bring shame to the Filipino nation.

Or how about in the local scene? How many God-stricken Tagalogs have discriminated against
fellow Pinoys calling them “probinsiyano” or “matigas ang dila”.. They think that they speak
better English; they think of themselves at par with Americans.. My gosh, look at yourselves at the
mirror before you do that.

***to whom it may concern! philippines was discovered by magellan in the year 1521 and since then naging alipin tayo ng kastila for couple hundred years, then the americans, and the japanese. dont say that philippines is the most racist country in the world because filipino is the most hospitable country in the world and thats a fact!!! the term “hey Joe” or “Joe” came from the root word G.I.Joe which means american soldier in case you dont know, just like “kano” from the root word amerikano about the accent thing. when your saying slang ba do you think sino ba naiinsulto? dont tell me na yung mga kano its the person saying it! maybe because of lack of education, how can you say it that its a stupid accent if the person saying it couldnt even know how to spell it. if your ashamed to be a filipino then dont act as filipino act as some kind of bigshot foreigner, about the stat? its people like you who make it worst, instead of saying good things about the philippines you make it look worst. where the hell is your patriotism?
