The terms bit and byte are common in computer networking. Both terms refer to digital data transmitted over a network connection. For example, bits and bytes both may represent network addresses or port numbers.

Just for clarification ah
8 bits = 1 Byte
1000 Bytes = 1 Kilo Bytes
1000 Kilo Bytes = 1 Mega Bytes
….tingin ko yung iba nagkakamali ng pagkakaintindi, yung mga broadband providers na yan (including globe) nagooffer ng mga plans na base sa Mbps (Mega bits per second) ***NOT*** (MB/s Mega Bytes per Second) so katulad sa plan ng smart na 995 “UP TO” 2 Mbps(Mega bits per second) or 2000 Kbps(kilo bits per second)
2000/8 = 250 ..so ang dapat na MAX download speed niyo ay 250 KB/s or kapag sa speed test
2 Mbps.
