Smart Communications is set to launch the newest mobile broadband technology called Long Term Evolution or LTE.
LTE in Smart’s network is currently delivering download and upload speeds of up to 50 mbps (6.25 MB/s) and in the future can reach up to 100 mpbs (12.50 MB/s), which makes it possible to download movies in minutes, songs in seconds and stream high-definition video seamlessly. The service will be initially available in Boracay from April 21 to April 24, and will soon be rolled out to other areas in the Philippines. You will have to buy a new USB dongle or LTE dongle, which is specifically for the LTE service.
