The house of economist and former Socioeconomic Planning Secretary Solita “Winnie” Monsod at the Subic Free Port in Zambales was robbed by unidentified suspects over the weekend.

The unidentified robbers carted away a loot composed of comforters, food, and a stereo system.
Investigators are eyeing construction workers and a caretaker as possible suspects in the robbery. “Marami kasing construction sa site na iyon kaya ang una nating tinitignan baka mga construction workers,” Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority (SBMA) administrator Armand Arreza said.
Monsod or more popularly known as Mareng Winnie was also a co-host of the now defunct GMA-7 TV shows “Debate with Mare and Pare” and “Palaban.”
