I didn’t like the way the manager responded to my complaint – RICCI JAVIER of Torre Lorenzo, Taft Avenue Branch. I complained about a sticker in my coffee card which was not accepted in Waltermart, Makati because it does not have valid number. It was not confiscated to me by Waltermart (Tine) and i asked them to inform Torre Lorenzo about it so i can claim a new sticker for the planner.
I am a dissatisfied customer. Knowing that i am one of the pioneers of Torre Lorenzo, i should have been updated by what happened to the sticker. Torre was at fault when they failed to punch the receipt to indicate the number in the sticker. However, i followed it up with Manager Javier. He said he will contact Waltermart two more days after today because HE IS BUSY! My gosh! What a response! I just said, anyway, i am just ONE UNHAPPY CUSTOMER!

The STICKER CARD was CONFISCATED (rather) by Waltermart because it will be falsification of document if they will transfer it to another card… WHAT DOCUMENT DID I FALSIFY?
The sticker is mine… i paid for every single coffee in my sticker card!It’s not just a sticker! It’s THE STICKER that costs PhP145.00 for a coffee.

So far I could say that the baristas in most of the stores are super friendly esp. at MOA and Bluewave. Worst branch is at the power station in Macapagal, hindi sila nakakatanda ng mga names kahit paulit-ulit sa pag-visit sa branch nila. They are selective with their customers except for a girl named Cheng-the only one who is genuinely friendly

we visit starbucks coffee valero makati last march 21 2008 around 23:17 pm . its a holy week and majority of the business site here in the philippines are close. so we really do the effort to check all the store who are open. fortunately the starbucks coffee valero makati is open we order our usual drinks chocolate chips and tea including the banoffee pie. the cashier tin tin take our orders and gladly help us, but when we go upstair at their second floor they have a problem in their AIRCON dissappointingly nobody inform us and the barista just told us that there aircon is broken. me and my friend was really mad and there is no one from the barista try to acknowledge the situation, we ask them if they can bring down some tables and chairs but the cleaner of the store told us its not allowed MY eyebrow raise up and really we are really frustrated. we inform them THAT NEXT TIME THEY SHOULD INFORM THE GUEST IF THERE IS A PROBLEM LIKE THAT SO WE ARE AWARE AND WE KNOW ALREADY WHAT TO DO. but nobody inform us and we are really mad. i was expecting that starbucks are better than the other coffee shop here in the philippines but unfortunately when it comes to confrontation and informing the guest about the problem of their store they are very POOR and very disappointing. i work also in a customer service same field and as manager if theRE is a problem i would inform my barista to inform the guest so they wont be dissappointed, really im not a competitor i am a very good guest of starbucks, since in abroad also here in the philippines and i really look up TO your company standard but unfortunately since the situation happen, you guys really put yourself down and the power of my mouth wont stop on this issue until you guys wont improve and apologize what happen to us.

well, i tried to apply in starbucks glorietta, well here’s how:
FIRST: have your MOST-CLEAN-ALL-THUMBS-UP-RESUME attached to it is a 2×2 picture;
SECOND: go to starbucks branches where you wish to work;
THIRD: ask any employee to where you could have your resume submitted;
FOURTH: they’ll lead you where, and will give you something (such as: FORM OF APPLICATION) to fill – up;
FIFTH: they’ll be informing you whenever they wanted to interview you, or sometimes, they will call you for an interview.
SIXTH: hope. hope. hope.

I don’t think this post is in anyway officially sanctioned by Starbucks, so your queries about a job may not be answered. I am not affiliated with Starbucks either but let me share my experience of how I was able to apply for a barista position. Please don’t ask me questions because I won’t be answering them.
1) Visit any Starbucks branch and ask any of the staff for assistance. You can check the counter as well for application forms, which has all the information you need to apply.
2) It does not matter what branch you go to. The company will call you for an interview and you will proceed to their corporate office in Buendia Avenue, Makati.
3) You will fill up a form there asking you what would be your ideal location and schedule for your shift.
Basically, that’s it. I don’t know if its changed in the last year or so, but I think the process would still be the same.
Bottomline: Go to any Starbucks branch and ask for the manager. He/she should be able to help you. Good luck.

hay naku, there’s something f*cked up about their application process. It’s sooo damn long! Kainis my application form must have been missplaced for the 2nd time, I think. I got through my 1st interview with back when I was still studying, then nothing! I’ve submitted another one after graduation(last year!). And during the feast of 3 kings I’ve submitted my 3rd application, “God-knows-when” they’ll open it to find someone who really would like to be a barista. Haha, ewan, ayan, nagcall-center nalang.

like i said they’re always hiring..anyone can try. just be confident and be yourself..wala pakong second interview..pero hopefully magkaron na ng slots sa isa sa mga malapit na branch dito samen para matawagan nako ng store manager para sa next interview..just submit your resume together with the VENTI brochure which you can grab at any starbucks store..most interviews in any kind of field would ask you to say something about yourself, ganun din sa starbucks…so its better to be ready with what to say..jsust be ready and show them that you really want to be a part of their company..kungbaga showcase mo sarili mo sakanila..wag ka mahiya..kung medyo makulet personality mo, try mo gamitin yun pero in a postitive way na hinde sila maiirita..usually yun hinahanap nila sa mga partners (employees) nila kasi pag nasa work ka na, you’ll be dealing wiht not just with local customers but also with foreigners..okei?yun…makakatulong yang mga sinabe ko..nga pala..just be patieent kasi medyo matagal bago matawagan for the initial interview..group interview yun ah..kaya yan;) think positive..PRAY…It’ll help a lot…God Bless!

when you say barista you’re not just entitled to make drinks.. everyday you’ll be assigned with a different position. you may be assigned as the cashier, the ones in charge of washing the dishes and etc. have fun bro!submit na kayo resume nyo!;)

hi guys i’m really really interested to apply as a barista at starbucks i already passed a copy of my resume together with a filled application form at the nearest starbucks branch in our location which is SM CITY Tay-Tay. but Mr. Guard there seem to just ignore our presence, his facial reaction is not very pleasing as well as his response. anyway he told us that he would pass our applications to their main office i just wonder if he really did cause up untill now its been 2 weeks already. not a single notification whatsoever that says that we’re qualified or not or even if they just received our applications. is there anyone here knows how to apply at starbucks aside from what i did? cause i really wanted to be part of their team its not really about the compensation i just love the smell of coffee and the ambiance of the store its really homey. thanks a lot for those who can help thanks a bunch!!!

hi jomz, nope not a partner yet but still hopong to be part of the team. ;) i passed my initial interview last May 19 and i have’nt received any call or whatsoever from them regarding my 2nd interview. Well, i guess we just have to wait. minsan kasi di la pa talaga vacant slot sa mga branch na malapit sayo..regarding naman kung sure na status mo for being hired siguro 50% kasi siguro may nakita sila na POTENTIAL sayo..pero be ready for the 2nd interview lang just to be safe;) Goodluck to both of us!God bless!

I think you just have to wait for the call ms Leigh. I got a call for my 1st interview 3 weeks after the date i submitted my resume. I believe that what you did was the only way to give them your resume. Just be patient. They’ll call you as soon as they get a hand of your papers;) wag mo muna isipin tatawag din yan or they’ll send you a message. Nga pala, minsan kasi pag sa branch mo pinasa hintayin pa nila dumiting yung parang messanger nila bago ipasa yung resume mo eh. Wait lang;) God bless!

i dont think so na diretso interview kagad porket nag pasa ka lng ng resume don but i suggest mag tanong ka na dun sa main and ask what happend to your application
may be there’s something wrong in your resume’ or something but sa ibang applicante nag pasa naman din cla sa ibang branch but ayun 2weeks lang ntapaos na cla kagad sa lahat ng interviews.. sa kaso q naman inabot aq ng 1 month bgo mtapos sa lht ng interview but it took 1 week b4 my 1st interview…
