sun..? goes broadband…? kakatakot….ayusin nyo muna wireless landline nyo, khit customer service number nyo d makontak using the sun/mango landline telephone! ang nkakarindi pa, 2 years contract d pwede ipa disconnect or stop subscription otherwise we will be oblige to pay P2,000.00 for not finishing the 2 year contract on subscription! mango telephone is owned by sun cellular, sayang lng binayad k worst monthly k ala nmang silbi!
August 27th, 2008 at 9:48 pm
sus kung yung wired nga ay palpak kingina nyo ayusin nyo muna digihell nyo bago yang solar powered broadband na wireless kuno
August 31st, 2008 at 5:47 pm
i’d rather have bayantel…best ang after sales service nila, pag nasira pa, within 24 hours, inaayos agad! otherwise, the monthly subscription will be deducted from number of days without service, our office kasi has been with bayantel since late 90’s and until present, their service just get better and better….it’s too disaapointing what i have at home is the mango landline wireless, since there r only two telecom companies that operates in our area, one is PLDT, which is as worse as Mango telecom…i thought mango is better than PLDT, but they r same…useless and a waste of money…!

@INTERESTED
F UR PLANNING TO HAVE AN INTERNET CONNCETION W/O landline…I CAN RECOMMEND TO U smart broadband, OK NMAN SERVICE NILA SAKA ANG SPEED…f ur area like mine has no landline available other than wireless telephone, which like what we had experienced, PLDT and SUN or MANGO telfon, they r as bad….!!! i had paid the initial and monthly subscription.. for nothing at all! and if ur lucky, the same thing happens,ala nman action s mga complaints mo khit hirap n hirap ka n nga makontak cla..! for almost 2 yrs. our internet connection was with smart wireless broadband, am talking here based on our experience, so far maganda nman ang connection, though there were times too that meron problema s network that can last for 2-3 hrs. but mostly for few minutes lng nman…although that is still bothersome, but i guess it was better than any other wireless boradband internet conncetion. The initial payment if i can remember was P2thou.? i can hardly remember now as we have moved to a new place and we’re having bayantel both for our landline and internet DSL connection.

As far as i know the technology of SUN Network is good when it comes to broadband wireless at mas upd8 ang SUN sa latest technology pero the dissadvantage is galing china ang technology or made in china kaya di parin me convince… I recommend this SUN Broadband for web browsing not for DL kasi madidisapoint lang kayo…
April 2nd, 2009 at 1:49 pm
April 5th, 2009 at 9:24 pm
hi,GoodEve..naka sun broadband ako..so far,okay nman yung connection ko dito sa taguig.As long as web browsing lng nman..kung balak nyo mag DL,i recommend na gawin nyo yun ng midnight up to 7AM,.para d maputol..gaya rin ng Online Games..
April 17th, 2009 at 12:19 pm
how about the rates?
April 17th, 2009 at 12:37 pm
hmm.meron dn po ako sun bband eh..hayz..hnd nga po ako maka DL sa torrent compare nung my pldt kmi at least dun kht 25kbps meron pero sa sun wla..lam mong connection problem kc my indicator ung torrent..at ang DL speed nya eh hannggng 1.5kbps..nyakk.musta nmn..pero qng ibng programs and software ok cya…kya i’m just finding an alternative to DL by not using torrent..ok cya sa mga watching movie..wla buffer compare nung sa pldt pq..hnd ko pa try ung bagyo =))..ok nmn connection at yeah ung ccare nla sobrng busy..tpos hnd pa cla ganung marunong mag empathize..sabihan kp..”kya nga makinig muna kau eh!” w/the strong speech..hayz..

Not advisable for Dota or online games kasi always disconect. anu mas maganda ratgher than sun for online games ? pls advice
May 20th, 2009 at 3:58 pm
most of the posts here sound like the replies of 12 year olds, first of all I suspect to see sun excel in some areas and fail in others, just like any other ISP here in the philippines, before bashing out the “BULOK ANG …” mentality , kahit man lang add first the “here in qc.. etc etc” because that is the trend of all ISP’s here sa atin, and be polite and considerate with what you are posting, people are looking just for simple information about the service (like me im just looking for places where its good), not the whining and story of your lives.

bkit 999 = 400kbps nlng

June 24th, 2009 at 1:03 am
Do not get SUn. It’s irritating. Especially at night. Can’t even send emails. I use it in Pasig. Tried other areas with other computers. No change. Terrible.
June 30th, 2009 at 9:38 pm
nauna.
kaya yung mga nagpaplano dyan na magpakabit
mag dsl nlng kayo.

I just want to bring my complaint on the services of my sunbroadband it is always down nad most of the times it disconnects in the middle of important searches. the provider should make good its representation that this broadband is fast and good since i should be compensated for what i pay.
July 15th, 2009 at 1:48 am
dapat ibalik nyo tamang serbisyo, kung hindi ibalik nyo pera na binayad namin sa unit at sa monthly bills. this broadband is already cheating its customers. Sunbroadband or its officers should answer this complaint.
July 15th, 2009 at 1:50 am
If sunbroadband fails to address this concern, i will file a complaint before the National Telecommunications Commission. Better answer this complaint.
July 15th, 2009 at 4:48 am
Globe – 799 60hours/month 999 75hours/month 1295 120hours/month (not sure kung accurate pa to… basta may limit sila
July 15th, 2009 at 5:13 am
Regarding naman sa mga previous posts: I don’t think it’s Sun’s service, I’ve been a happy customer almost 1 year na rin. Pero pag ala signal may workaround naman eh — pero if it’s speed I would be one to say na mas mabilis ang Sun compared to the other two (Globe/Smart) dito sa amin. I live in Manila City — yung Sun usually laging HSDPA. Testmy.net results 0.2mbps and Speedtest results at 0.3mpbs which translates to 200kbps and 300kbps respectively. Not bad for advertised SUSTAINED speeds of 400kbps which is variable depending kung gano karami ang tao gumagamit at any given time, lakas ng signal, background transfers, etc and BURSTABLE SPEEDS of 2mbps.
To the “Lawyer”: This is NOT Sun’s website nor is this board associated with Sun. This is not the place to make ultimatums or threats of legal action against Sun.
Here’s their feedback form: http://www.suncellular.com.ph/ecs_chpop.php and this is their phone number for SBW subscribers 395-8000. Please address your concerns there.
Proof read your posts.
Abogado ka na. Gumawa ka pa ng ultimatum against a company pero sa maling website ka pa.
Please look into wireless broadband and how the technology works. It is not the service because people have mixed reviews on the same service, some good some bad. If some people get good service, then that just means they have a better signal than those who gets bad service. Why don’t you get an ISP that has the best signal in your area rather than picking one because of price then complaining about the “service” being inadequate.
Look for a service that fits your needs/expectations, make sure that you have coverage before buying or subscribing. (i.e. test their signal in your area first — use a friends USB dongle… etc), and make sure that the service you’re looking into works for you rather than subscribing without doing your homework first.

right now po kasi SUN is capping the bandwidth of postpaid subscribers..
from 2mbps nging 640 kbps na lang…
sa mga nagpplano, wg nyo ng subukan!
August 14th, 2009 at 11:05 am
tama naman si attorney moreen di naman siya nagkamali ng site kasi almosy all of us here really need a solution in one problem i just hope na matuloy para magkabatas na tungkol dito para di rin naman tayo kawawa kasi laki na rin ang nagagastos namin sa broadband na ito at first smart kami then shift sa sun kasi sobrang bagal pero its still desame pagdating ng 2nd month,dapat kasi mag usap usap lahat ng subscriber then maghain ng complaints ng kahit na anong company then report natin sa nakatataas.I think this is the best bet to do.
If we don’t do our part lolokohin lang tayo ng mga yan hope you bear with me.
THANKS.
August 17th, 2009 at 2:13 pm
August 17th, 2009 at 3:30 pm
Like I said hindi po to official site ng Sun. Message board po ito to as our experiences with Sun and get feedback from other people who has subscribed to their services. So kung maglagay ka man ng ultimatum dito regarding the service pano mababasa ng Sun yun? Search niyo Sun Broadband Philippines to see the results and isipin niyo kung iisa-isahin ba ng Sun basahin lahat yun? Go to the proper site to address your concern hindi yung magclaim siyang attorney and threaten legal action in a non-associated website. Common sense lang na kung ako may problema sa Meralco hindi ako gagawa ng sulat sa harap ng Maynilad — anong kinalaman ng Mukamo and their servers with Sun.
If you want to file a class action suit then you’ll have to find willing co-complainants. Proof that service fell below set standards as advertised. But remember they are advertising OF UP TO 2Mbps which is correct since burstable speeds are considered part of your connection speed. In other words they’re not advertising you’ll have a sustained speed of 2Mbps which is in their pamphlets/handouts/postpaid contract.
Can anyone here vouch that Globe or Smart broadbands are better than Sun? Here’s my results coming from Sta. Cruz Manila according to Testmy.net using:
Windows XP SP3
Mozilla Firefox 3.0.13
Sun Broadband with Huawei E160 modem (INDOOR TESTING)
:::.. testmy.net test results ..:::
Download Connection is:: 733 Kbps about 0.73 Mbps (tested with 1024 kB)
Download Speed is:: 89 kB/s
Upload Connection is:: 262 Kbps about 0.3 Mbps (tested with 579 kB)
Upload Speed is:: 32 kB/s
Tested From::
Test Time:: 2009/08/17 – 12:58am

User Agent:: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.0.13) Gecko/2009073022 Firefox/3.0.13 [!]
Check the validation links to verify: search using my ISP and IP address.
Before commenting again, like I said in my previous post, yung 2mb advertised connection speed is BURSTABLE SPEED. Basahin niyo muna ang service contract and/or manual bago kayo magreklamo.
So honestly at 0.3Mbps — it’s not bad considering the “competition”.
To anyone looking for a broadband service, always ask questions before buying/subscribing. Ask about where the nearest service tower is from you as well as how many people are in YOUR area subscribing. Also ask about coverage in nearby areas that you’re likely to travel to.
The problem most people have is that they are not educated consumers — meaning that they don’t research something before jumping into it — then they fall into buyer’s remorse when it’s not what they expected.

10 to 15 times a day e napuputol yung koneksion without you knowing it. Pati sales nyo palpak. Sinabi nila na yung modem can be changed within 7 days of purchase, pero di nila pinalitan yung modem ko, instead pinagsulat nila ako ng complain form na di ko alam kung nasaan na at sinabi nila na may pupunta dito sa amin, WALA! more than 1 week na. Pootah!

Well!! in my experience sa SUN Broadband plan 799 unlimited pumapalo hanggang 2.9mbps ang connection.. pero minsan npuputol ang internet… im here in mayamot antipolo city… mas ok sun unlike other provider. no buffering ang youtube… i dunno kung nagka problema ang sun after bagyong ondoy kc dun lang cia nag cmula paputol putol well minsan anman buong araw wala putol ang connection..
