Amanda Colley Van Cooll – Survivor Philippines Palau Winner
22-year-old “Probinsiyanang Tisay” Amanda Colley Van Cooll was declared the winner of GMA-7’s reality TV show Survivor Philippines: Palau via split vote.
Amanda got 4 votes from the jury composed of former castaways while transgender beauty queen Justine Ferrer got 3 votes. 22-year-old Jef Gaitan on the other hand had no votes. Amanda took home the 3-million-peso grand prize.

well,for me hindi dapat si amanda ang nanalo dahil hindi siya deserving…sunod-sunuran lamang siya kay mika…….ginagamit lamang niya ang istado ng buhay ng pamilya niya para kaawaan siya ng mga jury!!para sa akin si JUSTINE dapat ang nanalo kasi mas deserving siya,,nakita niyo naman kung paano niya tinalo ang anim na cast away…………………….

Gusto ko talaga si Justine kasi talagang napakitang nyang survivor sya dahil kahit natanggal sya agad nakabalik pa rin sya. Hindi ko naman sya gaanong nasubaybayan kaya wala akong gaanong alam kay Amanda kundi yung magkakampi sila ni Mika. Kung naapektuhan yung desisyon ng jury dahil sa sob story nya, even if it reflects na survivor sya sa totoong buhay, it’s pretty unfair.

Mas deserving nmn si justine manalo.. Meron naman pruweba db? Una xang pinatalsik pero nagsurvive xa hanggang top 3. E si amanda, parang hindi nmn xa naglaro sa survivor, nag-exist lang xa kung kelan patapos na ang game. Kakatawa naman mga jury, ginamit lang ni amanda iyong status nya sa buhay at nagdrama, nagpadala na sila. Dpat binoto iyong tlgang deserving. Saka wla nmn po sa sa pagkatao ni justine ung laro.. Para skin justine kaw ang sole survivor..

Its a game of manipulation and deceit… The person who has the more will to do whatever it takes to be on top wins the game… Some uses their current situation in life to gain pity and justify what they have done is for the betterment of their love ones.. While some uses their looks, charisma and words to manipulate and deceit people to sway their way… Its been use by all past winners of Survivor… They did what for some might be consider deceitful and conniving, but in the end whoever is on top played the game the way it should have been played..
No one can judge or say who deserve it better except to one’s self. You may agree or not, but those who voted are those people who were there and experienced the game…
If Amanda won, and whether everyone agrees with it or not, she played the game and came out on top…
NOTE: — This is for the person who replied to this thread in English… We were born in a country that speaks its own language, even within our own country different areas would have their own native dialect… It is more appropriate to use your own language if you are having difficulty writing your reply in English… The effort is good if people would even consider it, but the fact remains your knowledge in the English Language is limited thus made your reply very unacceptable to anyone who speaks English… You could have made your point across by simply using Filipino-Tagalog or even your own native dialect if you have one…
Hindi masama kung magsasalita ka ng Ingles, walang perpektong tao. Ngunit, mas mapaparating mo ang iyong ninanais ipahiwatig kung ikaw ay nag tagalog na lamang. Lumabas na parang isang batang hindi pa nakapagtapos ng grade 2 ang nagsulat ng iyong reply.
I don’t mean no offense but, trying so hard to look/sound smart would only make you look/sound dumber. Use Tagalog if you are having a hard time, or if you want to you could use taglish and incorporate the words that you are more familiar. Its not illegal to ask for someone to help you out with your English as well, everything is a learning process words and proper diction go hand in hand as well as grammar and tenses.. Try that, you would sound way more smarter than you really are…

Para sa kin mas maganda yung season 1 ng Survivor Philippines. Para sabihin na hindi deserving si JC is ridiculous. Kasi kita naman na sya yung madalas nakakakuha ng immunity and he had always been good to everyone.

this is the problem when contestants vote off people they consider threats. it becomes a battle of the weakest. i don’t like Tara but she’s right when she said this should be a fight among those who are strong, of being able to survive in a setting like the jungle, without having to rely on alliances. this isn’t to say strategy and wit don’t come into play. i just cannot believe that someone like Jef would actually be in the final 3. she’s totally not deserving (why else would she get a zero vote). this is who i would have wanted to see in the the top 3 : a combination of Justine, Marvin, Echo, Shaun, and MAYBE Suzuki and Tara.

actually, like others, i really thought justine would win the contest, but unfortunately, the behavior she showed before the last tribal council was really shocking! everybody was really dismayed on her words and actions. She should’nt done that. Everybody in who was in the game were all deserving. even the winner. thats how it should be and that the way the game goes.. CONGRATULATIONS to all who were so lucky to joint the Survivor Phils. Palau God bless you..

heller..si justine ok na sana e..she already got the respect of the jury and all the viewers dahil sa ginawa nya sa 6 cast aways..she was indeed deserving at first. kaya lang anga anga sya ng pinakita nya totoo nyang ugali nung latter part..she should have been the winner kung di sya nagwala.. and come to think of it para syang luka luka dahil wala ng sense sinasabi nya..she asked amanda kung sya ang ibo vote nito nung sinabi ni amanda yes its you…sabihan bang ows talaga kahit mamatay pa buong pamilya mo! tama ba yon! well..she just deserved not to win! It should have been Mika or Shaun!

ang gaganda ng grammar ng iba dito. hehe~ *sigh* get over it. kahit na magpa-tumbling tumbling pa tayo, di na mananalo si justine. ever. so move on. it’s nice though kasi obvious na madami-dami siyang offers at apparent na mas maraming tao ang gusto siya so for sure, magiging okay ang showbiz career niya.
yang mga “deserving, deserving” arguments nagiging senseless na. i am most certain that none of the people commenting here were on that island that time with any of the castaways and most likely, wala ring may personal relation or connection sa kahit kanino sa kanila. we judge based on the edited version we saw on TV. we weren’t there so paano natin talaga malalaman kung anong klaseng tao sila? i’m sure, had there been a “fan favorite castaway,” runaway winner si justine. pero tama lang na jury ang nag-decide kasi sila ang nakakakilala talaga sa isa’t isa. sila ang nagkasama-sama e.
personally, i’m pro-amanda/mika. i’m kind of wondering though kasi, based on what she has been saying on interviews, parang ubos kagad ni amanda yung P3M. pambayad ng utang, panggawa ng resort, pang-party, pambili ng 4WD, pang-vacation – ubos kagad. matalino kaya siyang mag-invest? oh well. sana magka-career din siya sa showbiz. marketable ang mukha, katawan, at galing niya. parang si justine – although, certain na mas patok talaga si justine.
