Tio Pepe’s Karinderia – Jollibee’s new resto concept

Jollibee Foods Corp. is moving to capture the biggest segment of the domestic fast-food market by rolling out its version of the traditional diner, the carinderia.
Tio Pepe’s Karinderia serves Filipino food at reasonable price points and aimed mainly at people in the work force in urban centers. It also aims to provide more consistency in food quality, better hygiene, sanitation, nutrition, food safety and better restaurant conditions. The pilot restaurant is located at Edsa Central in Mandaluyong City. The Jollibee group of companies operates the country’s biggest food service network with 1,385 stores in the Philippines as of June 30. These include 583 Jollibee stores, 367 Chowking stores, 237 Greenwich stores, 163 Red Ribbon stores and 35 Delifrance stores.
