network, ano ka CFO ng gme-agb? cguro kumuha ka ng financial statements ng abs cbn para mas mapagaralan mo kung san nila iniinvest ang pero nila hindi tulad ng pinakamamahal mong gme-agb ginagastos lng sa walang kwentang talents kaya hindi sila nagkakaroon ng “profit loss” kasi cheap ang labor nyo.
so better research nalang ng mas malalim oki or better yet keep you mouth closed.

Masakit ang katotohanan na ang isang Kumpanya hindi kumikita dapat ang growth hindi pababa dapat pataas ang ABS CBN lng ata ang natatanging kumpanya na PABABA ng PABABA ang Income pero no.1 sila ha sa TNS na Bokya din sa suporters lol! TNS = 0 ABS CBN = 0 (-) lol!

Ngyon lng talaga nagkaroon ng Hit na Show ang ABS CBN since 2002 pero sabi nga ni Network no.1 man sila sa TNS pero ang Net Income ewan lol! Bokyang Bokya paren ang Net Income ng ABS CBN lol!

QUEZON CITY, Philippines — ABS-CBN Broadcasting Corp., the country’s largest media conglomerate, reported net income in the first nine months of the year of P1.2 billion, nearly matching its full-year net income of P1.27 billion in 2007.
The company recorded net income of P447 million in the 3rd quarter 2008, 23 percent higher than the P365 million recorded in the 3rd quarter of 2007.
Gross revenues for the January to September 2008 period were up 15 percent from P14.43 billion to P16.54 billion, and EBITDA reached P4.4 billion, for a 12 percent improvement from P3.97 billion over the same year-ago period.
These results include contributions from Skycable starting April 2008.
For the 3rd quarter of 2008, airtime revenues grew by 2.0 percent over the same period last year to P3.77 billion, including airtime revenue contribution from Skycable.
As a result, airtime revenues for the nine months to September 2008 reached P10.13 billion, posting a 3.0 percent rise over the P3.87 billion worth of airtime revenue recorded in the same nine-month period in 2007.
Direct sales of P2.54 billion in the 3rd quarter posted a 73 percent growth over 3rd quarter results last year of P1.47 billion, driven by continued strong performance from ABS-CBN Global whose sale of services grew 23 percent to P1.18 billion, and sale of services contribution from Skycable of P859 million.
The company’s continuing process improvements and cost management efforts yielded a 6.0 percent decline in production costs and a 2.0 percent decline in general and administrative expenses in the January to September 2008 period, before the inclusion of Skycable’s expenses.
With the consolidation of Skycable, total GAEX for the period increased by an additional P940 million, or 25 percent. Total expenses are up 3.0 percent before adding Skycable’s expenses, and up 16 percent after including Skycable’s expenses.

The company’s rival, Lopez-led ABS-CBN Broadcasting Corp. reported a nine percent increase in net income to P1.38 billion last year. The increase was attributed to higher revenues from airtime and direct sales, which rose by 12 percent to P22.3 billion.

Benpres suffers 1st-quarter loss

The Lopez family-led Benpres Holdings Corp. told the Philippine Stock Exchange that it incurred a net loss during the first quarter due to the sharp decline in profits of its core operating
units even as its cable and telecom arms remained in the red.
In a disclosure, Benpres said it suffered a net loss of P176 million in January to March, a reversal of the P60-million net income booked the same period last year.
Benpres’ unaudited revenues at end-March reached P5.289 billion, or 24-percent higher compared with the P4.256-billion posted the same period last year.
The company’s expenses, however, outpaced its revenue at 32 percent to P5.222 billion year-on-year due to the 60-percent decline in equity in net earnings of investee First Philippine Holdings Corp. (FPHC) and hefty increases in general and administrative expenses and costs of sales and services of ABS-CBN Corp.
In addition, its foreign exchange loss surged further by 156 percent to P202 million from a year ago.
“The peso depreciated to P48.33 against the US dollar in March from P47.62 in December last year, or a 2-percent drop in value,” the holding firm said.
During the three-month period, broadcasting network ABS-CBN recorded a 22-percent to P189-million cut in profits from P243 million a year ago while SkyCable posted a net loss of P25 million, reversing its P72-million income last year.
Bayan, on the other hand, trimmed its net loss by 16.4 percent to P464 million year-on-year as its revenues climbed by 5 percent to P1.639 billion from P1.558 billion. The improvement was mainly driven by the wireless landline and data revenue.
High-end residential developer Rockwell Land posted a net income decrease of 12 percent to P158 million from a year ago as revenues fell by 40 percent to P813 million due to the slower demand for high-end properties amid the global economic slowdown.
FPHC—the holding firm of the Lopezes’ power businesses—posted a 33-percent to P178-million decline in its first quarter net income after selling its entire stake in toll road business to Metro Pacific Investments Corp. last year.

Kung mataas ang ratings ibig sabihin mataas din ang airtime revenue so mataas ang Net Income pero baliktad sa ABS CBN kase Mas mataas ang NET LOSS sa kanila lol! Kunsabagay walang Advertising & Media Groups ang pumanig sa TNS kaya Net Loss lol!

well forget about the ratings, sumilip ka lang sa mga pinapanuod sa palengke, buss. establishments and other public places.. you would know kung ano ang sinusubaybayan..
competitive naman parehas ang shows nila, mas marami lang ang preference is channel 2. here in subic obvious na tutok kami sa kambal sa uma and the primetime shows =)

ABS-CBN tala ga ang number 1! Alam niyo kung bakit?
1. Ang ABS-CBN ay puro positive ang mga information na pinapalabas, di tulad ng GMA na puro negative na parang lason na kumkalat sa isipan mo.
2. Hindi nakakasawa ang mga palabas ng ABS-CBN at sikat na sikat pa ang pinalalabas nito sa publiko tulad ng May Bukas pa, Boys over Flowers at marami pang iba.
3. Sikat ang ABS-CBN sa buong mundo dahil sa TFC at ipinopromote pa nila ang Pilipinas at ang lengwahe natin.

Para matigil na yang bangayan niyo kung sino Number 1. Punta kayo sa mga sites na may nakalagay “VOTE your fave Pinoy TV Channel” at magboto kayo kasi in the end sa lahat ng bagay numero pa rin ang mangingibabaw. Makita niyo dun kung pano ilampaso ng Ch 2 ang 7. Huwag naman na kasing ipangalandakan ng GMA na # 1 sila kasi ovious naman na lahat ng de kalibreng actors at actresses natin even singers ay talent ng ch 2. Saka isipin niyo na lang, makulay ba ang entertainment industry kung ch 7 talents lang mapapanuod mo. Aba eh so boring naman. Kaya kayo jan, why not panoorin na lang ang fave shows niyo regardless kung ano channel para kayo din makikinabang indi yung nakababad ka sa isang istasyon lang, kasi kung ganun eh di kuha ka ng super glue at i-dikit mo yung channel na pangpihit at kung remote naman itapon nayan. As simple as that. As for me 70/30, I watched more ABS shows and 30% for GMA kasi gusto ko din Jessica Soho.
