Edward James Gayda Lim, son of TV host Toni Rose Gayda and grandson of Philippine Red Cross ambassador Rosa Rosal died in a freak accident after falling from the 4th floor of Pinnacle Residences Condominium on Wack Wack Road at about 4:45AM yesterday, March 19.

The victim was rushed to the Cardinal Santos Medical Center but was pronounced dead on arrival. The Eat Bulaga TV host denied her son may have taken his own life. “Conscious pa siya, tapos nadala ko pa siya (sa hospital), and then sabi niya, ‘Ma, I’m in pain,’ sabi niya. ‘Ma, I’m in pain,’ ganoon siya ng ganoon,” Toni Rose reportedly said. The TV host was able to donate his son’s eyes to an eye foundation before his remains were cremated at Funeraria Paz in Quezon City. Wake will be held at the Sanctuario de San Jose, Green Hills, San Juan.
