Tulsa Drillers coach Mike Coolbaugh killed
Mike Coolbaugh, 35, was struck on the left side of the head by a ball during the ninth inning of a minor league baseball game between the Drillers and the Arkansas Travelers.
According to reports Coolbaugh was struck in the head by a line drive off the bat of Tulsa’s Tino Sanchez as he stood in the first-base coach’s box. He immediately fell to the ground. CPR was administered on the field, unfortunately about one hour later Mike Coolbaugh passed away as the ambulance arrived at the hospital. Mike Coolbaugh was pronounced dead at 9:47 pm on Sunday.
